Seating in the huts over the lagoon was amazing ... it's a MUST DO experience when you visit Cancun!!! Food and service were also great! La Isla is the perfect location for this one of a kind dining evening out!
We were happy to find a location that service Indian food very close to the Westin Lagunamar. The location is charming, and we had a great table in a private “room” overlooking the lagoon Our server was wonderful and explained some of the dishes we were not familiar with. We had our favorite- Chicken Tikka Masala , and tried a beef curry , which wasnt quite as good as the Tikka Masala. We started with spring rolls and chicken satay which were excellent. We had a lovely red wine and Gulag Jamin for dessert.
We family of six had dinner recently had a dinner at Elefan Thai. The restaurant was empty & peaceful, the service was attentive, and food was delivered as ordered and on time. The menu did not have Thai items we are accustomed to find in a typical Thai restaurant. The Indian items on the menu did not taste as well as Indian food should. Water droplets fall from the trees from the previous rain and few insects were seen in the air.
The food was delicious as always, the attention of all the waiters was always on time and helpful, Irving was always attentive to everything. The mixiology is quite refreshing, it is not very broad but it is good. Take into account that the prices have changed a lot compared to the photos that have already been uploaded before.
In terms of prices, it is not cheap at all, much less the drinks, but it is well worth it for a good evening with your partner and mine was happy.

Food is decent, the appetizers were good but I was a little disappointed with the curries. The daal makhni was on point but I didn’t think the chicken tikka masala was good. It was made with chicken breast and the curry wasn’t done right - the consistency and the taste was off. I was expecting much better considering the price. This place is super expensive, which was a big put off at the end of the day.

If I could give Elefanta 6-stars, I would.
This is one of the best restaurants I have been to in the world. We stop in at least. Once on every vacation to Cancun - recommend you do the same.
The Indian food: spectacular, authentic, and among the best - period. We got the spring rolls as appetizers- excellent. Perfect crispness, texture and flavor. The dal makhani , chicken murgh were fantastic, spicy and rich. Garlic and onion Naan were perfect.
The atmosphere: there’s no place like this . Sitting on the lagoon - different configurations depending on number of people. The ambiance , background music, overall vibe is awesome.
Service: impeccable. Juan and Francesco were attentive, informative and nice to talk to.

This place needs a re-do with its sitting arrangements, how can someone eat in scorching heat next to water with fan on speed 1 and staff says this is the fastest.
Cover cabin sides with AC transparent sheets and place coolers or atleast good quality fans so someone can relax and enjoy food.
Food : Texture Taste was good but very less quantity- Chicken Malai Tikka either has to be 4 or 6 pieces (std).
Ambience 10/10
Sitting arrangements 4/10
Food 7/10
Service 8/10

This place was amazing!!! From the setting to the food, everything was just incredible. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. This was by far one of the most enjoyable meals from our trip.
Tried 3 highest rated Indian restaurants in Mexico city. And then visited Elefanta in Cancun. By far the best. Food, service and ambience , everything is perfect.

I've had dinner at this amazing restaurant twice already. Not only do they give the option for Thai or Indian cuisine but they are equal as good at both of them.
I loved the chicken satay gay and the spring rolls as appetizers. With the butter chicken (Tikka masala) with an added naan garlic bread and rice it is a good portion size that will leave you satisfied and with a full tummy.
The atmosphere is great. The way you are being brought to a table at the water and pass a bunch of different seating areas, walking through the dim lit tables ans over bridges with water under them. It is truly fascinating.
Their staff is super friendly and always will try to accommodate you with special requests etc. One of the waiters helped us out with our drinks and even created a special mango margarita with tequila. Truly amazing.
Absoluteley would recommend going there, even though it is a bit pricey.
