Kampai- Pacific Rim restaurant

This resort claimed to be European friendly/topless friendly and they are until prudes/Karens complain. To be against this is to be against equity. We won't be back until they are actually pro equality

Absolutely love this resort, staff and overall atmosphere. This was my third trip this year and seventh overall. Every time I go, I meet the nicest people from all over the world. I can’t say enough about the staff. They are some of, if not the most, friendly, polite and accommodating people I’ve ever encountered. Butlers: Hugo, Ben, Claudio went the extra mile to take care of all my needs. The Butler service at this resort is bar none. Felipe, masseuse at Naay Spa, gives the best relaxing massages. Better than my regular masseuse at home. Roman at Gaviotas Bar provided gave a lesson on mini beers and baby Guinness- you have to try them! Ms. Vicky at bar 32- so sweet and can she cook! Yum ? Gabriel- Beach Butler was great. He remembered my drink of choice and would bring one to me without even asking. Oscar & Eduardo, Waiters, at The Wine Kitchen ( Generations) were very attentive and accommodating. You have to try this place. My first time trying it and I went back twice. Truly My Happy Place & Second Home. I’ll be back soon!

We have just returned last week from the most beautiful 2 weeks at El Dorado Royale! We had the most amazing 2 weeks, returning to our wedding hotel after 6 years, we visited for our first wedding anniversary.and it was as stunning as always! It’s the ultimate resort to relax, unwind and dine on gorgeous gourmet food! Our room was a lovely swim up newly refurbished at the extreme end of the resort. We had the best butlers Alfredo and Rene who attended to our every need! They made our whole experience perfect and easy attending to anything we needed from drinks to fresh towels on our bali bed. Each night we had a lovely card and two liquers left for us at bed time. What a lovely touch! They also help to arrange decor, balloons, towel art by our fabulous maid can’t remember her name sorry, and rose petals in our room for our anniversary and my husband’s Birthday and Retirement. We have made two great friends to return and see next year! They went above and beyond! All restaurants were excellent as always! We loved Wine Kitchen, D’Italia Villas/Casitas/Haab/Jade. Santa Fe was excellent for a nice sit down breakfast served at your table in the morning with lovely eggs benadict and Mimosas! Sling Bar at Generations was nice for pre/post dinner drinks, fabby singapore slings! Martini Bar is so classy and fabulous drinks Aracelli was always on hand and to attend to us and remembered us both from last visit. Kick was a handy lunch spot with great food and staff Luz/Pedro/Mari. Palms was yummy seafood at lunch again with good food and great staff Ivan/Angel. Cocatel breakfast was always lively too! With nice fresh fruit juices and good range Mauricio and all staff can’t remember all your names sorry were superb. Finally Guacamayas had excellent entertainment for all tastes and ages we really enjoyed this time. Thank you to you all for making this such a wonderful time for a soecial celebration for us both!

Lovely resort. Large with a lot of food, drink and pool options. The staff is so polite and accommodating. They really make you feel welcome. Really the downsides are the rooms and some of the room service. They’re a little outdated, Some mismatched odds and ends and in need of some paint. I stayed in a swim up Jr. suite. That pool was great. All the pools were great and well kept. The swim up pool bar was usually pretty busy, with generally a cool vibe of people. Lots of activities. One warning/heads up- reserve your restaurants. Even as a solo travel, I got told to hit the bricks unless I had a reservation. That left a precious few options my first two nights. You cannot book through the app. So, you have the use the concierges. They are nice, but even if you get there before they leave at 4, they stop reservations at 4. They are accommodating to the extent they can be. They put a cool sash on my door for my birthday. No real other perk, but I wasn’t expecting one. If you like beer and a mini-bar full of it, they will oblige, but ask ahead. It takes a bit (and you have to be in room after 6pm -ish) for them to arrive and the beers (and sodas and waters, if you like non-alcoholic stuff for some weird reason) are not cold when they arrive. So, if the kids are hankering for a Sunkist, make sure you give it some time. Entertainment at night is pretty good! And great bar and seat service over there. Very good time.

Pros Smooth Check In Amazing Sushi Comfortable Pool Temps Beautiful green space and fun animals here and there A concierge that was very accessible and accommodating Golf Carts that help you utilize all 3 resorts for dinner/entertainment Cons If you are a beach person, this is NOT the place for you. The beach was pretty, but not accessible for swimming etc because it is so rocky and there are large wave breaks/rocky areas not far from the shore. This didn't bother us one bit, because the water is still beautiful and we prefer to swim in the pool The bugs are kind of bad at night. The "no see ums" will get ya especially of an evening if you don't have bug spray on. I wish they could spray for them or something. Overall we had a great experience. I would definitely recommend El Dorado for couples or a group of friends wanting to get away. For an adults only, they have a good balance of romantic dinners and ways to accommodate larger groups traveling together.

Just returned from a wonderful 10 night stay at El Dorado Royale. This is our. 18th time. People ask why do you keep going often to the same place, answer is easy , we love EVERYTHING about this resort. The moment you drive in the property and get out of the transfer, you feel welcome and part of the family. Pros : the level of service, the lush landscapes, food quality, I have yet to meet a staff that doesn't greet you without a HOLA :) . Cons: Had to come back home to reality. Few staff I want to recognize: Butler Andres (Drew), Butler Miriaam, without you two, we are confident our vacation wouldn't have been the same without you. THANK YOU!!!!!!! Beach Butlers, Jared, Tony and Ramon, thank you for everything, our glasses were never empty and your personalities are top notch!!!! Waiters: Miguel (D'italia Casitas), Guillermo (wine kitchen Generations) Elzear (Jade Generations). I know you get a lot of negative posters, when you really take time to read those negative posts, it's obvious you could serve them the moon and still would complain on something. If you haven't tried EDR or EDCR, do yourself a favour, you will be amazed as we still are after 18 trips here and counting :)))

I had the great experience with Diego & Cristina of Lomas Travel. I Scuba Dive. They are the absolute BEST to work with. Always book my trips and took care of everything. Hassle free. Look forward to working with them again very soon.

We visited the Bellini bar several times during our stay ANA the waitress was extremely friendly and helpful I recommend coming here for drinks before and after dinner she went out of her way to make sure we had what we wanted. We even had several tequila shots!

Just returned from this fantastic hotel after two glorious weeks. Had an amazing time and can't fault the staff, the restaurants and the bars. Had exceptional service at Bellini's Bar on the Casitas side where Anna went above and beyond with her freindly service. Gonna miss the Espresso Martinis and the Tequila shots - thank you so much Anna. ????

The whole Resort is great. Everybody is so nice here!!! You have activities and a great time, if you want to relax, do party or just drink at different bars. The food is amazing. I can’t stop eating. So they have a bar on wheels, where Angel is doing authentic and extremly delicious drinks. - YOU HAVE TO TRY. He’s a great mixologist!!! Thank you Angel! ? A shout out to our Concierge Estef!!! Thank you for giving us the greatest recommendations. ❤️ And thank you to Ernesto the Besto, who is always helpful with everything. Javi was our Tourguide at the Jungle Rock Tour and Played afterwards waterpolo with us! We had such a great Time! Thank you! Benny made us some palm Animals and gave us two Pens embroidered with our names. And he showed us the the Resort crocodile - Frida. It was so nice to see! Fernando and Andre are the Showmasters!! Mexican idol is soooo much fun with them! Andre were at the archery as well - it was so much fun and the first time with a bullseye for my boyfriend Erik. Laly and Noemi were at volleyball and water polo as well with us. Great girls to get the mood right!!! Thank you for having such great conversations and playing with you. Gabrielle and Karen are the hostess of the restaurant la isla. Gabrielle spoke some German with us and gave us a great time! We tried Spanish as well, so we have to come back to teach each other more. Karen Made almost everything possible for us in la Isla. Felipe was our waiter he was awesome!!! Daniel is such a sweetheart, we had some activities with him, it was sooooo much fun. So wie can‘t put all the names down! But we had such a great Time, it feels like paradise, because everybody shows you a great time! And if you want to know them better you have great conversations. Just a little FYI: maybe It’s because we’re Europeans, but the Italian restaurant we wouldn’t recommend! So all restaurants are great. We would say the best one is La Isla!!!! ? And La Fuentes has good food. But listen closely - the wine pairing is 45$ p.P. and (we would say) isn’t that good for that price. It’s just a sip per glass and the wine isn’t worth it. We added additional headcount last-minute to our party and were placed into the private room in the back (at no cost since it was the only table available to fit our size - very nice of the hostess!). The service was great and our server helped me practice my Spanish. The sushi was pretty mediocre, but the tempura ice cream was delicious.

We ate here two nights in a row as Alberto took great care of us and provided the best customer service experience. We were staying at Generations Riviera Maya but were able to dine at Kampai with reservations on OpenTable. The sushi was amazing. We started with the Dragon roll, Orange oil, Osaxa roll and the Cherry roll just to name a few. They were all delicious. When I go back to Generations Riviera Maya by Karisma I will be back to Kampai DAILY either for lunch or dinner. Alberto was amazing, on the second night he remembered to bring me a glass of ice and the dessert at the end of the evening for my wife. Thank you for exceptional food and service.
