We dined at La Trattoria (located in Maya Mall) this week and the food was great! Everything was tasty, cooked to perfection and the portions were plentiful. Top marks for presentation, too. There are lots of options on the menu plus a salad buffet. The decor and surroundings are beautiful, too.
Special shout out to our waiter Luis - he was very welcoming and always made sure our drinks were topped up. He would also check in on us every now and then to make sure we were okay without being intrusive. Thanks Luis! Miguel the manager also introduced himself to us to see if we were having a good time (we were!) Be sure to make a reservation as soon as you reach your hotel as the spots get booked up very quickly.

Wait staff was horrible. Cleared plates without asking if we were finished. Didn’t ask for drink orders. Didn’t fill water glasses. Waited over an hour for the main course. By the time our main course arrived, we were all full from appetizers.

I went, they didn't let us pass, I was with my daughter with down syndrome and they denied me passage, they argued about the dress code but my daughter was in shorts and I was in a dress, in Cancun!!!Who are the owners of these places that impose ridiculous, absurd, retrograde and disrespectful protocols?

I thought about stopping by here to get a change of food scenery and I specifically wanted some desserts while waiting for desserts. I got snackish and I wanted to order a margarita pizza and when I got the pizza it wasn’t your traditional Marguerite pizza it was more common pizza like with a topping of tomatoes. It wasn’t too bad but I would still feel the need for having a traditional Mari pizza as it believe the flavor would’ve been better however, it was still decent to snack on while I was waiting for the desserts for dessert. I ordered the Panna cotta, the assorted variety of cannolis and the tiramisu. The Panada was a nice refreshing berry flavor I would say will be perfect for the nice hot weather can I can say tasted of the same flavors with only small differences. But my favorite I would say is easily the tiramisu. The tiramisu was a nice traditional tiramisu that I believe will be the best you will find in Cancun the flavors are traditional and they are not the flavoring of Mexican chocolate. I would go back again specifically just for this tiramisu
