Dinner in the jungle with superb customer service! Local fish served in banana leaves for the win A++++++! Customer service gave a family like feel. So good we frequented there three times during our week stay!

Do not miss this restaurant. Virginia was amazing! My only wish was that we went earlier on our trip. Virginia has a scuba/snorkeling company & we definitely would have booked with her. She is kind, and so knowledgeable of the area. The food was beyond delish. We ordered the batters fish for the kids, shrimp tacos, Yucatán chicken & tomato/cucumber salad. Yummy!!! The entire restaurant is a nice vibe! Highly recommend!!!

We have been coming here for years. The food, atmosphere and service has always been impeccable. The owner is so sweet and truly cares about your experience at Oscar and Lalos. We were there the other night and in between cooking and greeting guests, she stopped by our table to see how we were doing. Top notch!

Excellent Mexican Restaurant near Tulum. The restaurant is set in a lush garden with wooden chairs and tables. Seems to be very popular with tourists. We can recommend the guacamole, King Prawns with garlic and the prawn tacos.

Great service, great dining atmosphere, great food. Highly recommend this spot. So much better than any of the food at any of the Barcelo Resorts. We stayed at Barcelo Colonial, WORST FOOD EVER. Dined here, great food, great margaritas!

So good that we went 3 times! Gluten free options available. Outstanding seafood, tender steak and pork. Friendly staff. Call ahead for reservations if possible so they know your arrival time (especially if coming in last hour they are open)

Went here as a family, the setting is quite nice but nothing special. Service was good and staff were friendly. We had mango and shrimp cerviche to start and it was delicious. Unfortunately the same can’t be said for the mains, the presentation was nice but taste not so. Neither my or I finished our food and were left disappointed when we had to settle the bill. Overall not as expected.

Awesome food in a beautiful location! The mole was the best I have ever had! Delicious guacamole and light crisp wonderful cucumber salad! Also the Mayan spiced snapper was out of this world! Highly recommend stopping here!

After reading all the positive reviews we felt we could not go wrong at Oscar and Lalo's. Very few customers but yet slow service and my steak was inedible! Tasted like rubber and as if it had been microwaved. Can not recommend.

My sister and I were on our way back to Akumal after having been shopping in Tulum. We saw the sign on the side of the highway and decided to give it a try. Once you park, you go thru a small room into a jungle area with a couple of palaypa

I just love this place. I have made it a point to eat here on my last 4 visits to Mexico. I hope to continue this tradition. Virgina has been there to greet and take care of us each time I've returned. Super sweet genuinely kind senorita. Romantic & welcoming environment. She tries her best to source locally and hires an amazing kitchen staff. This food is made with love. Simply a highlight of each trip. Muchos Gracias Oscar & Lola to your continued success

If you want a quiet place near Tulum that is not so expensive this is the place. It sits un the jungle. Service was friendly and attentive. Kudos for excellent frozen margaritas. We enjoyed the platter that comes with shrimp, calamari, flank steak and chicken. Great place to unwind with friends.

Sat outside, beautiful patio! Food and service was great. One of the better meals we ate when out and about around Akumal.

We visited this restaurant 3 years ago, decided to try it again and took our local friends for dinner New Year’s day. The menu is printed on some paper and changed greatly from our initial visit. It is very limited to what it use to be. The only fish they had was Tilapia which is farmed from China. On the Caribbean and no fresh fish ! My friend ordered Shrimp Ceviche which was $385 p and half the size of what you would get elsewhere at double the price. It didn’t taste as good as any other ceviche we have tried. He is Mexican from this area and we live here permanently so have some experience in tasting ceviche. Since they didn’t have any good fish I opted for the Shrimp Mango as did both our wives. They only had one chicken entre ! Very limited choices. At a cost of $385 p we got 5 shrimp with some rice and veggies , about half a cup of each ! They had 2 desserts on the menu, Chocolate cake and Flan, which they were out of at 6:30 in the evening and only 2 tables were occupied. We definitely will not return and will be telling our friends to avoid wasting their money here.

Just happened to stop here on drive from Playa del Carmen to Cancun. So glad we did. Food was excellent - huge portions so maybe share an appetiser then get a main each. Mojito was so good. Staff were lovely, friendly and attentive. Added bonus - the most gorgeous car, ossy, lives there too. Absolutely recommend.
