Well I guess this is a mixed bag. The overall experience is mediocre. The gelato was taken out of a freezer and had icy feel to it. Tiramisu was subpar in texture and taste. In terms of ambience, well the restaurant is situated on top of stagnant body of water, sometimes the air stinks.
The real kicker came with the check. The restaurant already added gratuity on top of an already overpriced meal.

While staying at the Grand Park Royal part of our all inclusive, we ate breakfast twice at El Mirador, two days in a row on our vacation. Enjoyed the waffles, glace rolls, coffee, selection of juices,and different types of omelette style dishes, and the views. If you don’t feel like buffet head over to El Mirador.

We had booked table for dinner on 14 Jan 2024. We reached and we kind of liked the environment in starting.By looking at the menu I was bit disappointed to see very few options. Tomato soup was worst I ever had. It took almost 40 mins to get our food. We were told to try salad options by that time but because we are vegetarian so we hardly had anything to take from salad because almost everything had some meat in it.The waiter didn't tell us that 10:30pm is the last order. Because he took around 40 mins to bring out first order, and by the time we tasted them it was past 10:30 and we couldn't try more dishes.On all of their food items I was getting the same taste we used to get in the packaged/bottles tomato puree. So no fresh tomato are being used here for cooking.I didn't like following:No warm welcome at the reception.Bad or average foodService is the worst, somebody will take orders and forget you.Finally he will dump the food on table and will never get back check on you.I asked for room temperature drinking water, 2 times. I didn't get the water but apologies. I had to ask for third time and then got it.The place is definitely under staffed.

The service here is beyond a 5 and the food is excellent, Kevin greeted us every morning and made sure we got the same table ready with coffee and pineapple juice, we had 2 servers as we ate here daily for breakfast, Alisia and Verulo, both were amazing ? ?. Took pride in all the little details. Thank you so much to all the staff of Mirador for making our stay so special. ❤️
