We loved the beach atmosphere and live music, but the food was hit and miss. It was not our best meal. There was a lot to appreciate here though. They had a play space for kids, were very welcoming, and were prepared for our reservation. If we didn't have kids, we might have stayed and listened to the live music with a drink while watching the sunset.

We had heard many around our pool commenting how delicious the Apricot Shrimp, one of their specialties was, so we went. We started with traditional margaritas. They were delicious. The chips and assorted accompaniments were ok. We both ordered the Apricot shrimp, and it was SO good, we are going back next week. The plate had 6 large bacon wrapped grilled shrimp served on a bed of mashed potatoes . The Apricot sauce was delicious and so was the lovely mixed green salad with papaya and raspberry vinaigrette. So yummy! If you want a fun casual dinner with good food, try it!

The fried fish and ribeye were outstanding! The nurse shark fried tortillas and the calamari were fresh and tasty. The wait staff were accommodating and knew the menu very well! Will be a place we visit often when we're on n Cancún! We didn't see Poncho (IYKYK) but the stingray and puffer fish were abundant in the area!

So frustrated. I have dined at El Fish Fritanga on every one of my work trips since January....about 8-9 times. Always love the food, top notch service and decent prices. This time, however, was very dismayed to find a new menu with higher prices and many items removed, particularly the shrimp ceviche tostadas, which I was looking forward to on this visit. Settled for the Governor and sadly didn't find them as appetizing as they normally are. Hope El Fish Fritanga was reconsiders this decision and this new menu.

The ambiance is unmatched: toes in the sand, ocean breeze, and a front-row seat to the most breathtaking sunsets every evening. The service was just as memorable—Benitos and Leslie took such great care of us and made each visit feel extra special with their attentiveness and warm hospitality. If you're in Cancun, this place is a must!

Great food. All was very good. The prices are high, like in any turist area. There is a kids place so it was very convenient for us after a 3 hr flight with a 5yr old. Recomend!!!
