We loved the beach atmosphere and live music, but the food was hit and miss. It was not our best meal. There was a lot to appreciate here though. They had a play space for kids, were very welcoming, and were prepared for our reservation. If we didn't have kids, we might have stayed and listened to the live music with a drink while watching the sunset.
We had heard many around our pool commenting how delicious the Apricot Shrimp, one of their specialties was, so we went. We started with traditional margaritas. They were delicious. The chips and assorted accompaniments were ok. We both ordered the Apricot shrimp, and it was SO good, we are going back next week. The plate had 6 large bacon wrapped grilled shrimp served on a bed of mashed potatoes . The Apricot sauce was delicious and so was the lovely mixed green salad with papaya...
The fried fish and ribeye were outstanding! The nurse shark fried tortillas and the calamari were fresh and tasty. The wait staff were accommodating and knew the menu very well! Will be a place we visit often when we're on n Cancún! We didn't see Poncho (IYKYK) but the stingray and puffer fish were abundant in the area!
