Just had dinner at this restaurant in Lagoon across from the Royal Sands Resort. Good food at reasonable prices in a very nice place. ??

A unique and beautiful restaurant. My partner and I came here several months ago for drinks and found the place really special. Built on the lake, the restaurant and bar has an authentic and cozy vibe in a part of town that is otherwise quite loud and touristy.

Upon returning to Cancun this week we decided to check the place out for dinner, though we’re reticent due to some of the reviews on here. We took the plunge and were really glad we did. The food was exceptional, fresh and of a high standard, with excellent attention to detail. A small cup of fish broth came while we waited for the starter which was simply delicious. I had a grilled octopus tostada and my partner the tuna tartare. Both excellent. For entree we had the grilled octopus and marinated tuna. I happened to go for the spiciest thing on the menu, and so needed a few extra margaritas to cope, but it was stunningly good. The flavours of the sauce, quality of the meat and simple presentation made for a meal that felt very high quality.

I found the prices very reasonable and the service excellent. The staff are so friendly, attentive and helpful with their suggestions. The view is the best in Cancun. Regarding the bill there were none of the issues mentioned in other reviews, the bill clearly and correctly laid out our orders and given the amount of cocktails we had I felt this represented exceptional value.

Cancun is a wonderful place, but can feel quite full on at times. This restaurant is a wonderful antidote to that. A peaceful, beautiful, well run and expertly presented restaurant with a diverse menu for all tastes. Cannot recommend enough and will be back when I’m next here on vacation.

Amazing experience from beginning to end! The service was above and beyond. The food simply fantastic. And the sunset views are simply to die for! The best dining experience in Cancun 100%

Unfortunately I don't like sugar in my dinner. The sauce which was served with the cerviche and coconut shrimp were (hard as a rock) too sugary for my taste.
My wife had a filet of something saved with an unidentifiable sauce....not great

The food here is very good but the service and atmosphere great. We ate here twice on our trip to Cancun. The first night we had drinks and dinner while listening to a wonderful Sax player. Food was delicious and our server, Yonathan, was extremely friendly and attentive. The rest of the staff did a wonderful job as well.
The second night we stopped by to have some dessert and some after dinner drinks. Luckily Yonathan was our waiter again and he helped us select two wonderful desserts. It was a beautiful night looking over the lagoon at the clouds and stars.
We highly recommend this restaurant. It is located directly across from the Royal Sand resort.

Great view of the sunset but food mediocre. Had the coconut shrimp and they were huge and so tough/chewy. I could not eat them. The restaurant apologized and said they were cooked at too high a temperature. Wee were a group of five and nothing was that memorable. My daughter got the salmon fillet and it was undercooked. The only reason we went here was because someone said it was like Captains Cove, but it's nowhere close. They need to hire a new chef. I do not recommend.

for 20 years we have gone to the captains cove on our last nite in cancun - they closed during the last year - puerto santos is an more than excellent spot for a sunset dinner on the cancun lagoon - loved it!
