Classic Cesar salad ??? RUN!

Stayed at Westin Lagunamar for our trip to Cancun this month and stopped here right after checking in as we were starving.The location is beautiful, right beside the pool with a view of the beach but food and service were horrible and utterly disappointed.Order shrimp tacos, nachos and Pizza. Shrimp tacos were literally 3 pieces of shrimp on a soft shell tacos, no seasoning nothing. Even the shrimps were bland.Pizza was bleh as well.We were expecting better food with the price they were charging us and due to their location within a 4 star resort. We did not go there ever again during our stay

Excellent Service. Food was very good. Great views of the ocean from where we were sitting. Order cheeseburger, Thai Shrimp Salad and Chichen Nachos Platter. Freshly made tortilla chips. Generous Chicken portion. The refried black beans were delicious. Staff is amazing and you will not be disappointed.

Last year I was very satisfied, but this year I am disappointed. I used this restaurant several times every time I visited this resort, but I don't think I'll visit again.

Update: Got the burger and it was alright! Fries were cooked well and crispy and the burger was standard and pretty good (4/5).Food is pretty awful here. Got the guacamole (4/5) and pepperoni pizza (1/5). The pepperoni pizza tasted horrible… definitely recommend skipping it here. Would have given 2 stars but the happy hour from 3-4 pm every day makes up for it. Drinks are pretty good. Friendly bartenders who are attentive and conscientious.

Location obviously excellent but bring your own booze to the beach, unless you like paying $33 USD for a Tito's double bloody. Twice as much as the airport, and we thought that was expensive. Now we understand why we saw so many guests BYOB on the beach. Don't get ripped off.

Great place for a pizza

Bar & restaurant located in the Westin Lagunamar. It's one of the few options available to eat onsite. The staff was friendly and service was pretty quick as we were one of the first customers as they opened up for lunch.The bar is located next to the main pool with nice views of the beach. The food we had was (fried fish tacos and chicken quesadilla) was kind of average at best. The tacos were slightly better than the chicken, which was very bland.Overall it's convenient for those staying at the Westin.

Horrible customer services, my waiter seemed to be bothered, I asked him what would he recommend, the answer was “just look at the menu, i come back when you are ready”Wow … no comment!

Provided them with 3 stars because their food service was very slow. The chips that they brought to the table were very stale. The shrimp soup that we ordered literally only came with shrimp heads and not a single piece of shrimp. We end up sending it back since it came out warm and not hot either. The ambiance was good overall, but if we had a choice we wouldn’t be dining there again.

Friendly staff bring the food and drinks to the pool side or by the tables on the beach. Tacos and margaritas were very good.

Viento is a great poolside restaurant and bar. Food is good and swim up bar is awesome - especially during happy hour! Pizza, burgers and fish tacos are our favorites. Servers are friendly and eager to help. Viento also has pool side servers if you prefer.
