El Borracho Burro Cantina

Have been coming to the Burro for years and it’s always such an awesome place. Almost every time I’ve been there is live music or some entertainment. We took the entire family recently and everyone had a good time and really also enjoyed the food. The fried chicken sandwiches they ordered looked as good as they tasted, at least that’s what they said, wouldn’t know because they didn’t share. Place expands every time we’re there and we will be back.

Our group was four adults and two teens. Everyone really enjoyed the food and drinks. The staff was very friendly. The food was amazing. We got there at approx 5pm and they had a very good one man band playing so many hits and taking requests.
The one draw back was the mosquitos. We had our own spray which came in handy. The staff did offer their bug spray we had it covered.
I had the shrimp burrito and it was outstanding.

Came here a couple times during my Isla stay. First time we went with a group and shared some appies! Ordered a side of fries (which were way too expensive for the amount you get) jalapeño poppers, and blooming onion. They were all pretty good! Beer was a decent price! Staff are friendly and the atmosphere was awesome. Loved all the funny signs. Second visit my girlfriend and I visited and split their chicken burger, which came with fries. That being said, if you’re going to order a side of fries for $110 peso, get the burger with it for only $90 more. You get the same amount of fries. I also ordered a mojito. It was very very sweet. Not sure if it was a mistake or not. It was also too hard to drink. Entertainment was also pretty great too!

Very enjoyable meal! I got shrimp fettuccine, and it was good. The roll that came with it was good, too. Husband got mango shrimp ceviche & thought it was great. Mango margarita was really good. Open air place with cool vibe. The band that was playing while we were there was very good. Server was attentive. We would definitely go back.

Great point to stop and eat on the way to Punta Sur. Get the Donkey Kick Margarita and you won't be disappointed. The tacos, ceviche, and shrimp were all delicious.
