The 2x1 special is also a scam. They charge more for the 2x1 than if you just buy 2 of the same items off the menu price. I strongly advise you avoid if you don’t want te get scammed.

Tacos are good. You can buy 1/2 kilo of carne al Pastor and make your own tacos. We did ask for cebollas asadas and queso fundido and frijoles refritos. They did bring small tortillas that are used for tacos al Pastor. The prices were really cheap and the service was super fast. It is a great place and I highly recommend it. We visited the place after being on the beach and before we went back in the ferry to Cancun. This is a place I will definitely visit again.
Vegetarian options: They have cebollas asadas, ensalada de nopales, queso fundido frijoles refritos
Kid-friendliness: Is a place where you see families with kids. Tables are basically on a street or inside the restaurant and is a very friendly place.

We stay at all inclusive on the island and always make sure to still come here for dinner at least one night.The food is great, the service is amazing. We stumbled upon this years ago and I’m so glad we did.If you want authentic Mexican then come here!There is a menu in Spanish and English. Limited English spoken and that’s ok, they make it work. (Remember, it’s México, that’s the language here).Locals seem to make a point to come to the tourist trap to eat, that speaks volumes to how good the food must be!Some of the poor reviews seem to be way off base, that green salsa is spicy, or this Hernandez is a wuss lolNo restaurant wants people to sit for an hour and waste a table. Eat and go enjoy the island. Although, they have never made us feel rushed.

I was on Isla from January 2022 to April 2022 and taquería Dominguez was my favorite taqueria from the first moment, good flavor and good price for honest, simple and delicious food, I went so many times that when I returned to Chile and ate one last time The owner gave me a t-shirt so I don't forget them!! I am definitely going to return to Mexico and Isla and I hope taqueria Dominguez will be there as usual to enjoy once again!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
