“Coffee shops in PDC don’t open early enough but Ah Cacao was open. They’re much richer tasting than Starbucks. Their chocolate products are delicately delicious. The cost is on par with Starbucks but worth every cent to a weary traveller. We went back each morning and once in the afternoon for the service, coffee choices and atmosphere.“

“I loved finding this space, I think it is one of the few places on the beach that are well adapted to work. I went in because I had to take a session and the Internet worked wonderfully, they have air conditioning and the music is ideal.
The banana pancake is delicious and so is the coffee. I loved that the drinks were based on plant milk ?.
It is a spacious place, so there is no issue from other people's calls or conversations.
I thought it was nice that they had pet clothes haha
Great attention and service.“

“The place is cozy, it's outdoors, the bread is very good, I recommend the cinnamon rolls, it's freshly made. The dishes are coarse. The prices are affordable, ideal for the family.
Kid-friendliness: There is enough space, and the tables are not very high.“

“My husband and I were looking for good waffles - not the thin ones- nice thick Belgium style. The ones here are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Because they are fermented, they have a very unique taste- absolutely wonderful!! My husband had his with Greek yogurt and fruit. I had eggs served perfectly. They had freshest fruit we have had since we got to Mexico, delicious Greek yogurt with just a touch of honey. The best part… our waiter- Angel. He was so appropriately named! He greeted us with the best smile and the most positive attitude. Can’t wait to come back!!“

“The best empanadas I ate in Playa del Carmen, in the best Argentine style. They have a variety of empanadas for all tastes.... And now they are also making the meat ones that we all like.I recommend this place, not only for its empanadas, since they have everythingLasagnas, desserts and the best coffee.“
“If you happen to be in the area this is a nice place to stop for lunch. The hamburger was well cooked and came with a small amount of fries. The chicken breast sandwich was also well cooked and tasty. We had green juice with orange, pineapple and spinach and it was fresh and delicious. Our waitress was friendlly and courteous.“

“Such a sweet little pasteleria! They're usually not busy when I've gone there. They have a variety of cakes, cheesecakes and other baked goods. Single sizes and full cakes sizes. Everything has been delicious ? They offer coffee in its many versions such as cappuccino, moka, regular, lattes, and Chai latte. It is the perfect place to sit inside and enjoy your treats.“

“I found the place by chance since I was in the area. I arrived at 5 pm and there were no people so the atmosphere was very calm. I ordered a cold brew coffee with caramel and it was good. The price was $80 mxn for the large size. They gave me a paper straw (which was bent before I finished my drink) and I think that one that is washable would be good because the expense would be less. They didn't put a cloth on the bottom of the drink so the drink was dripping since it was cold.
The girl who served me the drink just came to the table to bring me the same but she didn't greet me or anything which seemed strange to me.
Food I didn't try anything but what they have looks good although I don't know if the pastry/bakery part is something they produce.
Even though you sit down to eat or drink something, you have to order at the bar.
It itself is a place that seems to be relaxed and could work well for work.“

“I highly recommend the place, it is the second time I have gone and I loved it, both the food and the drinks are super delicious, I also went with my dog and we were very comfortable.
The girl who helped me was very kind and brought my dog water without a problem ?“
“The cutest Starbucks I've ever been to! I don't know if it's decorating like this all year round or just in the December season, but the lighting and atmosphere is incredible. Excellent attention and good implementation of health safety measures.“

“I have been in the hospitality industry most of my life. If you want to be felt welcome, by a man who genuinely loves what he does, along with very good food you HAVE to try this quaint little place. The name is Les Amis "the friends" but we respectfully call it Tony's place. I promise he'll make you feel like family.“

“One of the best places in the area for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a casual coffee.
They have to go service and pick up.
My suggestion for breakfast it’s the chicken waffle, lunch will go with the chicken breast with pasta and for dinner the burger.
My o my but is there it’s no ac areas.
Vegetarian options: Just ask to remove the eggs, or any other products that you don’t eat and they will gladly do it and if possible they provide a replacement option
Parking: Parking it’s at the other side of the restaurant.
Kid-friendliness: The menu it’s a little hard for kids, but there are some modifications you can do for lunch and dinner and still have the kids happy. Breakfast has hot cakes, oatmeal and fruit to cover.
Wheelchair accessibility: The closest wheelchair access its at cafe ole or nautiburro. Easy to set a table.“

“Great cocktails and good food. They have happy hour every day on select cocktails from 5-7 pm. The place is also very cute with travel themed decor. It’s a good place to work and use the WiFi while enjoying a nice meal and drink or it’s perfect for a drink with friends. The place is small and intimate and has a good atmosphere. Great cocktail bar for Playa Del Carmen
Vegetarian options: Guacamole“

“Perhaps this cafe has delicious drinks, but the cold cappuccino was tasteless, too little espresso and too much milk. Still, coffee drinks should have a pronounced coffee taste. The atmosphere is nice, but I won't come back for coffee again.“

“The place is very clean and well located. During my visit I had to listen to half an album by Luis Miguel so it was a very enjoyable breakfast.
The French bread with red fruits is a delight, very sweet but it is what one expects, the spongy bread is definitely a 10/10.
To drink I ordered a matcha, I am a big fan of this drink and I can say that the one they sell here is not authentic so I honestly do not recommend it.
The service is very good and the two girls who serve are very friendly and have a very nice dynamic.
I definitely recommend this place as an option for a nice breakfast.“

“Such delicious food! The staff is kind and helpful. They gave everyone in the restaurant a sample of a yogurt with granola and fruit/nuts, very refreshing and yummy. Cappuccino was perfect made, no burned taste and the almond milk was sweetened but not overpoweringly sweet. Can’t wait to come back to try more dishes ???“

“I'm from the US so I ordered a Venti and it was like a Grande so therefore it only had two shots. When I got to the window I was disappointed (1st world problems) and the cashier was soooo nice and just volunteered to add another shot to fix it for me although I didn't ask. So needless to say, great customer service!!! And it was made super fast.“

“Off the beaten path but prices are great, bread/pastries are fresh and the coffee is strong. It takes a bit for them to make because it is fresh ground with each cup. Highly recommend this as a morning ritual coffee shop if you are within 10 blocks. The service is top notch as well. ^^
¡Muchas gracias!

“I think this place deserves way more praise than i'm allowed to input here. I'm a person who likes a chill spot where the beer and food is good and the proprietor knows you by name. So I come to this place a lot when my work week is over to knock back a few beers and have good conversation. The decor and atmosphere is nice. The music isn't overwhelming to the point where i get a headache. ENG/ESP all is welcomed at this place. No judgement.“

“With my friends we needed some fruits and healthy food so this is the right place to go.

Nice coffee ☕️ too.
The place is ok and service was regular.

“Not much shabby inside, but quite tasty! The children were happy, there were a lot of desserts.
Note - be sure to pay for parking even in the evening, you left the cafe where you had been for about an hour and the parking attendant had already put a clamp on the wheel. One hundred cost 580 pesos and we were stuck in the parking lot near the cafe for an hour. The impression of the evening was very spoiled.
Parking: Very good experience.
It's hard to be a tourist in Mexico, the police and local authorities are pushing it as hard as they can.
Kid-friendliness: There was a children's menu for children.“

“The food was delicious! Pablo is the most hospitable, attentive and helpful waiter in the city. I'm sorry I didn't take pictures, but I don't think pictures would have done the food justice. We will return many times, it is our first time.

“Authentic and cheap. The enchilada mole was delicious. My peers were unlucky, as a lot of the dishes on the menu were not available - it also seems like I had the last enchilada plate of the day !
Service can be long, but this is home cooking type, it’s part of the experience.
When you see a lot of locals eating in or coming for takeout, you know it’s good food!“
“Now the cart is on the avenue. 115, (it is only to take away) I ordered a latte with lactose-free milk and it was very good, prepared just right, neither bitter nor acidic, the price is reasonable 50 pesos, I also ordered a croissant with ham and cheese, very delicious, warm, freshly toast“
“I decided to try this cafe despite some of the unhinged responses by the owner. I'm happy to report that I loved this place and it became my daily coffee fix while in PDC. All the staff I interacted with were super kind and accommodating. I was actually surprised as it was so different from what some of the reviewers mentioned. More importantly great latte and loved their chocolate croissant as well as croissant with Nutella!“

“Visited at least 8 more coffee shops nearby and yes, some were good, but this one is just great!!!!! Low-key coffee shop with amazing COFFEE.I saw a few bad reviews about the owner, but they are wrong. “I love the place, the food is always very delicious, I go there very often to eat.
What I want to emphasize is the service, it is not the first time, they never offer sugar/sweetener, they do not bring napkins, they take too long to bring the orders and the same when you ask for the bill.
The staff is friendly, but they don't have good service.
Otherwise everything very well.“

“They give a mystical touch to the place and its entire menu. These are definitely drinks you won't find anywhere else in the city.
The service is very good, they make suggestions and recommendations on the menu, in addition to having drinks with and without coffee.
They just renewed their menu so you will find new drinks and foods.“

“Best Starbucks in the world. I slow-travel full-time, so I’ve been to a lot of Starbucks and I have to say with all sincerity that this one is the BEST. I come here almost daily for months at a time when I’m in Playa and they invariably get my order perfect, which is such a relief. It’s a HUGE comfort in my travels. Plus the staff is so nice! ? ? They’re very friendly, efficient (it’s always busy and they work so hard and do such a good job), and competent.Being a business owner and having managed many teams in my life I know how precious good employees are and even though I’ve never met the manager, I know how hard management is, so they must be amazing too if their team and store is so well run.Love, love, love this place.“

“Good price-flavor combination. Obviously being at the beginning of Fifth Avenue, it is not cheap. The delicious food and the incomparable attention of the waiter. He was very attentive to the orders since someone asked for me and he returned because he realized that I had not ordered.
The atmosphere is not very pleasant, but not unpleasant either. The biggest drawback is the bathroom.“

“I would return to Playa del Carmen and one of the main reasons would be to return here, a unique atmosphere and vibe where the food was more than great and the drinks delicious, I went two days and both were great, the second was a night of drinks and it was The best day of all my vacations, live music, tables to eat like low weights to relax with a drink. And of course to mention Kevin, the waiter who served us both days, he treated us wonderfully and always tried to give us everything to make us feel comfortable, if your bosses read this, you deserve a raise.“

“I went in 2022 with my wife, it was really the best Burrito we ate in our lives and the best memory of that place. I must have gone 2 or 3 times because it was so delicious! I would only return to Playa del Carmen to taste that Burrito again!! I congratulate you!“
“It is located within the plaza that is at the end or beginning of 5th Avenue..... And it is the same as any other Starbucks, its strong point is the cold ones, since I don't think there are many who choose something hot with the heat you feel“

“Exquisite breakfast.
The service time is a little long, but the food is worth it.
Before your meal they give you a complimentary yogurt with fruit of the day.
The Croissants were very delicious and fresh.
The dishes are on point and the accompanying bread is delicious.
If you love sweet breakfasts, don't miss the French toast.
If you are looking for something a little more filling, the picaña dish is excellent.
But if you want to stick with more Mexican flavors, try "la cazuela" it is spectacular.
In my opinion the coffee is quite roasted and bitter even though I ordered a latte, but nothing that a little bit of chewed sugar couldn't fix (I'm not one to put sugar in coffee, but I felt this one deserved it)
Comfortable and welcoming environment.
The waiters make you feel at home, Adria, how cool! Thanks for your attention.
By the way, during breakfast hours they don't handle seafood but in the afternoon they do, so I reported the food allergy and left the place without any problems. Good kitchen management.
I will surely return.“
