“Phenomenal experience here. Drinks and food that will leave you feeling like you've made contact with a completely next level chef and mixologist but at incredibly reasonable prices. I had the pleasure of being served by the owner himself. Torn between menu items, I was eager to pick his brain on recommendations and he was patient and kind enough to give me feedback that I graciously accepted. I ordered the Mayan Ceviche with a custom alteration on one of the listed cocktails, each of which were exceptional. Great service, wonderful aesthetic inside.. Planning to go again and sample much more on the menu, I don't think you could go wrong with anything, and I cannot possibly recommend this location more highly.“

“Tried the pepperoni and mexa pizzas and both were excellent. The cheese is incredible, made in-house. It’s creamy and melty without that weird sticky texture a lot of vegan cheese has. “Look to the right and you’ll see an entrance to a yoga studio. The vegan restaurant is through there. They didn’t open till 9:30 so we waited at the front coffee bar and had coffee. It was an interesting “third place” for a lot of people that mingle there on a regular basis. I got to meet a few people. My first impression was the back area was like a cute secret restaurant and there was a yoga session in progress. My husband ordered the tofu scramble and waffles “a las dos” and the server misunderstood that those were two orders of the same thing, for both of us. My father in laws chilaquiles came out with my tofu and waffles, my husband’s plate never came out. For a while we clarified and they realized they misunderstood, while his mango water took a while to come out too. Many places in Playa Del Carmen you can expect to sit and eat a while because the food is made to order. Unfortunately for him that meant his food was just queued in as we were finishing eating. He was still charged as well. The patio was nice but we did encounter mosquitoes, they have Off on request. I loved the food, just bummed my partner had such a bad experience and didn’t get to enjoy it. #Veganuary *Updating to say we gave it another try and had a great experience. “This place is truly a hidden gem in Playa del Carmen. It's small and simple, but filled with love and authenticity. You can taste the care put into every bite. I had the torta de milanesa, passion fruit agua fresca, and a brownie. Everything was absolutely delicious! My husband enjoyed the al pastor burrito, hibiscus agua fresca, and a café de olla. Every dish exceeded our expectations, and the best part is that it’s 100% vegan! The owner is an incredibly kind woman who makes you feel right at home. We’ll definitely be back. “In every opportunity we go there because the food is so good and also the service. It’s fast and kind. Portions are enough to satiate your palate and stomach. “The first place we went to breakfast was closed so we were happy to find this within walking distance. It is two restaurants Peace and Bowl has their own menu, but they had a regular menu for breakfast that my father in law enjoyed. The avacado toast was phenomenal. They also had plenty of fruit bowls, vegan coffee. My husband tried the vegan chilaquiles that was very savory. Great spot for an early breakfast. I’ll also say that the environment is unbeatable. Everyone was so friendly. The patio was gorgeous and comfortable. #Veganuary“

“Staying at a resort with few vegan options so we ordered from The Vegan Spot using Rappi to deliver to the resort. The delivery timing and price was reasonable and convenient.The food was out of this world good. We ordered a selection of tacos, a burger and several desserts. All of the dishes were fabulous and the homemade hot sauces to go with everything were the perfect flavor and spice.We feel like we are getting a taste of some of the best Mexican tacos while being vegan!“

The name is Les Amis "the friends" but we respectfully call it Tony's place. I promise he'll make you feel like family.“

A guy came up and told us about a fishing experience while we were eating lunch, which we went on, the restaurant cooked the fish we caught for dinner, but we had to pay extra to eat it. Highly recommend best fish I’ve ever had, same with the fajitas! The drinks went the best, but everything else was amazing! (I don’t recommend the popcorn shrimp appetizer, it was a little hard & chewy). Strawberry margarita was one of the worst.

“I am glad I was able to check out one of PDC vegan restaurants. @falafelnessya , located 2 blocks away from the 5th Ave. meet s nice young German vegan couple dinning there , 15 years vegans. By the look of their tan seemed to be there a while. Asked them, if you only had one night in PDC. Which restaurant would you absolutely hit? They said Nessya! I talked to the cook, he said the owner is French. Interesting. The whole restaurant is falafel based. Hence the name. They have pitas. Plates. Hummus. And even a falafel burger. The pita sandwich and the hummus was so good! They also have Mexican aguas de sabores or sweet waters, I got the tamarind flavor. Definitely a recommended spot of a delicious lunch“

“This was an amazing experience! Chef paula was amazing and it just felt like we added an amazing friend to our party! Our food was phenomenal... and I can't stop recommending it. We chose to go with a 5 course meal and a cooking class...

Chef paula took the time to constantly clean throughout cooking and left the kitchen more spotless than before she arrived.

We had fish tacos, chicken enchiladas, Mexican salsas and tortilla chips, pear and goat cheese salad, Mexican rice... everything was soo soo good!

The Tres Leches cake was TO DIE FOR...

“I ate here many times I love this type of establishment. Pizza is exactly the style I like. Ice cold beer is in the cooler at the back. I tried to time the fresh out of the oven pies. Pay with close to exact $$ to avoid the hassle of accounting audits. Please tip as it's relied on in this area of MX. 3 slices and a beer for 150 peso plus tip, fantastic.“

“We were ten people and of the ten most loved their food. Seven of us had the September special, Chile en Nogadas and they were excellant! I loved the decoration and the fact that the chile was very fresh. It could have had a tad more stuffing but great all the same. “We had the luck to stumble across this lovely place on our first night in Playa del Carmen. This was the only place that we found that served actual, real Mexican food that tastes as it should, compared to any other restaurant we dined in nearby that served food that is more to the taste of tourists from the US.
The food was delicious, the staff was extremely kind and we loved the live music as well. We went back there on our last night of our stay and we were not disappointed. This was the first place where I ordered coconut fried shrimps and they actually tasted like coconuts, which is I think due to the fact that they seemed to use freshly shredded coconut rather than one that has been pre-shredded and packed. The chilli poppers are a must-try, I could have eaten 10 of them and I had one of the best nachos of my life.
Even though our food arrived a bit late on our second visit there (the place was full), they compensated us with free mini fish tacos (mouthwateringly delicious, almost changed my mind about my order) and a shot of some sort of tequila based coctail with coffee. It was really delicious and our waiter, Jesus, was so kind and helpful. Thank you guys for an amazing dining experience, it was a great way to finish our honeymoon. ?“

“The chocolate frappes are just must-try drinks here, if you like chocolate even a bit.😄if you like the spicey one, choose the maya chocolate…we choose the frappe version and it was amazing! you can have it without any milk or with plantmilks as well. “A good option if you are on 5th Ave and 10, looking for something quick, produced in more manual and human processes, affordable in price, and with a good flavor for the palate... here is an option!
Their pizza slices are just right for my overeating and at a good price. It's $30 Mex. Is it accessible or not? Instead of eating a sweet on the way or something industrial, being able to access more human foods is also giving yourself Love.

“Always return to this place when I’m in playa del Carmen the food is amazing! Take a little bit long to make but that’s because the food is made with love. Always order chocolate peanut butter bowl and the pancakes crapes . Also if I feel little unwell I always ordered the immune shots. Which picked me up. Atmosphere it’s a very green earthy vibe to it. Always bring my friends here and they love it too.

“My husband and I were looking for good waffles - not the thin ones- nice thick Belgium style. The ones here are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Because they are fermented, they have a very unique taste- absolutely wonderful!! My husband had his with Greek yogurt and fruit. I had eggs served perfectly. They had freshest fruit we have had since we got to Mexico, delicious Greek yogurt with just a touch of honey. The best part… our waiter- Angel. He was so appropriately named!
