Went there a few days ago with a bunch of friends. Were pleasantly surprised at how good the place was. They offer an extensive menu for such a small restaurant. I had the grilled octopus and my wife had the Bunuelo De Camaron. The octopus was the best that I have had here yet. Better than La Caleta and 081. The Bunuelo wasn't so good, the shrimp still had the shells on and made the dish a mess to eat. Service was pretty good. Prices were reasonable. I would go back for sure.

We were staying in PaaMul, took a trip to the Chedraui and then decided to see if we could find the places listed on our Apple Map. During the day we didn't see any. It was only on our way out of town that we realize this was one of the places we were looking for. The Menu wasn't expensive and there was outdoor seating so we went back the next night. I had Fish Tacos (for the first time in my life) that were "melt in your mouth" delicious. My partner had garlic tilapia. The veggies were cooked "just right". Seriously, this was the best meal we've had in the 8 days we've been in Mexico on this trip. On other trips we've had great meals also, but we're moving on to Akumal tomorrow, thinking we'll be back here again two or three more times. PS: we saw some burgers go by, they were bigger than 3 whoppers piled on top of one another. Check out the photos on their web site.

I went there about 3 weeks ago while on vacation in the area. I had the shrimp tower Caribbean style and guacamole. The food was very good! Unfortunately since it was a Sunday evening the place was busy and I had a wait. Service was good in spite of the wait!

I have to give credit where credit is due. In the past I had bad experiences with the staff and wrote a review. After this review the Manager reached out to me. We talked about my dining experience. He listened and offered his apologies and assured me he was not aware any of this. I respected his professionalism and desire to make things right. After much time I finally decided to give it another chance…and am very happy I did! I have since enjoyed multiple meals, all complete with excellent service ( no hidden tip) and delicious food! But that wasn’t the real test. Since then I have recommended the restaurant to many people over the last month and ALL came back with positive and full bellies! It is a wonderful feeling to be able to recommend and support a small local restaurant with great service, food, and overall experience! …and I will definitely continue to recommend Palapa Marlon as a go-to place for dining when you are in Puerto Aventuras! Provecho!

Was in the area on vacation and was tired of the hotel food. Decided to adventure out and was recommended this place. The food was amazing! We got the shrimp ceviche which was enough for 2. For dinner we ordered coconut shrimp and pineapple shrimp. Wow! Wish I knew about this place sooner I probably would’ve eaten here more than once. A must try!

Like many touristy places, this restaurant places an ILLEGAL surcharge on your check, re-calculates the total, and then hopes you pay a tip on top of the suggested service fee". I have brought this up with the server and he admitted it, but said there was nothing he could do. I told them there was something I could do and contacted PROFECO. I also paid neither the surcharge or a tip for being intentionally deceived. People look the other way about this and enable this deceptive practice to continue. If ANY restaurant in Mexico does this to you, please contact PROFECO and don't pay. That's the only way this B.S. will stop.
