Aqui + Ahora Coffee Bar (Here and Now Cafe)

We came here to try their juices and rest a bit while on the island. The wait staff were very friendly and attentive. The place was very modern, clean, and had plenty of seating. The juices we got were all vegan (Leonardo and Raphael) and we were also happy that they had plant-based milks for the berry smoothie; we got coconut. I would definitely return. #Veganuary

Being at Aquí + Ahora was an experience like no other when it came to have fun, drinking the best cocktails and having AMAZING food. My awesome (and really handsome) waiter was Pacal and he WAS JUST PERFECT. He recommended me the flip flop sour sop and OMFG what a lovely drink, def the best one on the whole Mayan riviera!!!
I had THE best pizza (hard for me to say since I’m Italian) that Pacal recommended and best of all it was from the secret menu cause it wasn’t written on the menu, awesome attention.
For dessert I blindly followed what Pacal recommended and he didn’t fail in giving what he swore would melt my brain; HOMEMADE CHOCOLATE CROISSANT ???. After a BEAUTIFUL sunset at the rooftop of the sickest coffee shop ever I felt a bit hungry again and Pacal brought me some sexy looking tuna sashimi that was FRENCH KISS (that’s right, waaay better than chef’s). By the time I sadly had to leave my handsome waiter and the restaurant I didn’t doubt in tipping over 35% and left with a BIG smile!

It had become one of my favorite places but today's experience in the service and the bad attitude of the waiter who served me threw all expectations into the trash.
A simple dish like a salad with salmon that takes 40 minutes is intolerable in a tourist restaurant. I rang with the bell and no one came, I raised my hand and the waiter who was serving me arrived and I told him my disagreement with the waiting time and his response was like this: “What happens is that we have a table of 13 people and they are Taking out your food, that's why it's so late, I'll see how long the kitchen takes or if you want, I'll cancel it. “ARE YOU SERIOUS TO TALK TO THE CUSTOMER LIKE THIS? Invite him to cancel!! I am a gastronomic restaurant consultant and those types of comments and attitudes from waiters are what kill customers. Logically, I listened to his recommendation and told him to give me my account so I could immediately leave there and go have dinner somewhere else.
Even so, he comes to bring me the bill, offering an apology but in a challenging tone and telling him if I report the incident as I showed him and he even gave me his supposed name DAVID. In short, what a unfortunately experience, I was finally their client. ??‍♂️
Reinforcement: management in the operation of orders in the kitchen, if there is no control in logistics and times it will affect the service and of course the waiter is the one who takes the disagreement but they must always remain calm, have emotional intelligence, Be measured and look for the most appropriate way to resolve.
1- “Sir, now I see what is happening with your dish, we are a little behind but allow me to solve it for you. (but go to the kitchen and notify the chef, he may be able to remove it due to preparation time)

If it is common for the kitchen to be delayed when there are many customers and it affects the times, then:
2- “Gentleman, I tell you that the waiting times are approximately 20 to 30 minutes due to saturation of dishes, it could be less time”

Believe me, the client will at least be aware and value it!!

This place is amazing! If you visit Cozumel you have to stop here. The place has 3 floors, the terrace is where you have an incredible view of the sea. The menu is complete with breakfast, lunch and dinner. Coffee, drinks, desserts, etc. I asked my waiter PACAL to give me some recommendations and he told me the salmon Beagle ? 1000/10 and the lemon pie with meringue ?‍?

I spent a very pleasant afternoon while waiting for my ferry to Playa. Location, price, service is a 10 for sure.

Incredible place in Cozumel, without a doubt my favorite place by far, excellent delicious food and good portions as well as an interesting variety of options, the exquisite passion fruit mouse and the classic burger with unbeatable potatoes

Place was empty and the service was really slow. We went in before our ferry was departing and by time we got our 2 beers we had to drink them and leave half of them. 2 other customers and it took 15 mins to get us 2 cans of beer :/

The vibe was good, decor was trendy and it was pet friendly. I would go back when not in a rush and service speed isn't an issue.
