“Wonderful meal and service at Sol de Maple! Wish we'd had time for another visit before leaving the island. Everything was delicious and fresh, and a nice break from heavier dishes. We had the nachos and jalapeno bites, and the chickpea omelette and the smoked burrito. And the PINEAPPLE CAKE. So so good, and so many other dishes I'd love to try. Would definitely go here again on another visit to Cozumel.”
“We absolutely loved it here- slightly off the beaten path of the main square/big tourist American bars. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful. She even recommended local places for other nights we were staying there. The food was amazing, some of the best tacos we’ve had on our trip to Mexico. My partner enjoyed the locally brewed ale too.”
“Had dinner here last night and we were really impressed! Very fairly priced and the servers were super friendly and helpful. Beers are cheap and the food was super yummy!”
“Exquisite Italian food! from the entrance to the dessert!
Cleaning, hygiene, etc. all top notch!
Kid-friendliness: It is food for all types of people from children to older adults.
Wheelchair accessibility: I refer to this point since they have a very large space to accommodate a wheelchair”

“Kondesa was amazing. The atmosphere, food and service were all exceptional. We loved the lush jungle, open courtyard vibe. It was such a unique and unexpected experience!”
“Me and my husband had a great dinner here, all the food were fantastic, the price are also fair and the service from fernando was also really good. Totally recommend this restaurant ? I love the grill octopus ?”

“Super cute spot with great food just steps away from the main road. Highly recommend getting one of their combo platters if you're in a group of 2 or 3 people. They contain multiple courses of state-specific (Yucatecan, Oaxacan, etc.) cuisine at a reasonable price.”

“Very expensive but good Mexican fusion food. Everything was fresh. The tempura shrimp appetizer was really good and decent portion. Just know you’re paying more than what you would in US and Canada for the same food but in Mexico. You do get to enjoy the views of the ocean though. An appetizer and main cost 600 pesos.”
“I have been coming to Cozumel for years & finally discovered the BEST spot on the island. You have not seen Cozumel till you visit this amazing place. The food, the ambiente, the best.Skip the turist traps & ask a taxi to take you to Sky reef.
Just a few kilometers from the center . The beach is out of this world. This place is locally owned. The cook is one of the best. Cheers
Parking: Parking right outside & free.”
“This establishment is truly remarkable. While I was unable to capture many photographs due to my preoccupation with the delectable cuisine, there was live musical entertainment. The service provided was exceptional, and the culinary offerings were impeccable in every aspect.”
“What a spectacular thing!! THE FOOD IS ANOTHER LEVEL. I usually come to Cozumel often and I can truly say that it is the richest place I have ever visited. Excellent service from the waiter CARLOS who made our night beautiful and suggested delicious food, and FERNANDO made us laugh a lot. We were very happy.”
“Being at Aquí + Ahora was an experience like no other when it came to have fun, drinking the best cocktails and having AMAZING food. My awesome (and really handsome) waiter was Pacal and he WAS JUST PERFECT. He recommended me the flip flop sour sop and OMFG what a lovely drink, def the best one on the whole Mayan riviera!!!
I had THE best pizza (hard for me to say since I’m Italian) that Pacal recommended and best of all it was from the secret menu cause it wasn’t written on the menu, awesome attention.
For dessert I blindly followed what Pacal recommended and he didn’t fail in giving what he swore would melt my brain; HOMEMADE CHOCOLATE CROISSANT ???. After a BEAUTIFUL sunset at the rooftop of the sickest coffee shop ever I felt a bit hungry again and Pacal brought me some sexy looking tuna sashimi that was FRENCH KISS (that’s right, waaay better than chef’s). By the time I sadly had to leave my handsome waiter and the restaurant I didn’t doubt in tipping over 35% and left with a BIG smile!

“Decent vegan breakfast options, really just standard offerings (enchiladas, chillaquiles) but with broccoli and zucchini instead of meat.
Still, they get 5 stars from me for providing an option!
They also have soy milk for coffee.
Dietary restrictions: Vegan options”
“Great food and atmosphere, coconut shrimp to die for come with a Pina colada dip, wet Wendy's slider burgers amazing. Cocktails are well priced and a great choice.
The whole menu is very good.”
“The food:
Delicious, simply delicious that's one of the best Fish-Ceviches I've had ? also the fruit eater was very very refreshing, inhad the watermelon ? one and it was enough and not excessive sweet, which I always appreciate
The Crew:
As attentive as you could expect them to be, very patient as we took a while to read the menus and also provided good recommendations from their special dishes.
Atmosphere:
It is good, even when it's location is a bit hidden and not on a very touristic street, the ambience inside is good enough to enjoy a nice meal.
In my opinion some of the prices are a bit high and that's perhaps the reason for the 4/5 rather than 5/5 + the fact that it's a bit hidden withing the neighborhood
Vegetarian options: Some availability
Kid-friendliness: Good for the whole family and the menu has children options
Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access, however I'm not sure about the restroom topic”

“Great customer service, some of the best on the island, English speaking with a fantastic tofu scramble and delicious hash browns. This place is a great spot to grab some breakfast before adventuring this incredible island. I also met the owner at the super market. She was super kind and encouraged me to start a restaurant on the island! I am beyond impressed with her and her business.
Vegetarian options: Tofu scramble”
“Been coming to Cozumel for decades. Used to eat here as a carnivore about 10 years ago. Ordered the Poke bowel with quinoa as the base. Added chili fried tofu(it was very mild), avocado, bean sprouts, mango, spinach, edamame, and fried plantains——-YUM!!!!! Had to ask for additional quinoa which was initially very scant. The gave me a nice sized cup full of additional quinoa without any extra charge. This is a very small space with only four tables, but I would avoid takeout, as everything gets crammed into small containers.”
“You can be on the terrace or on the beach, it has a shower and bathroom, you can stay as long as you want, sometimes the birds come to want to take your food but they are not so invasive, they have music but very softly,”
“It's been two years since I've been here and honestly I've been trying to find a cruise or excuse to end up back on the island just to have their lasagna. It was honestly the best I've ever had from a restaurant and I don't make that sentence lightly.”
“Great food and atmosphere. Service was top notch, and the live music was relaxing. The carne asada plate was delicious with so much food for the price. An absolutely wonderful experience!”
“The place where local eat and what they eat. Fast cheap delicious tacos. Mostly standing room only but it probably beats the wait at the larger chains in a hurry. Only a block off the main path so no to worry. Might see some badgers or other local wildlife fighting for scraps. Fun stop.”
Takeout Restaurants
“If you want the best tacos in Cozumel this is the place and the Al Pastor tacos are what you want to order. They cook the pork schwarma style on a spit and shave it off served with a slice of fresh pineapple. I stopped at 4 but I could have eaten them all day. It’s a little off the beaten path but just get a cab and they will know where it is.”
“Sweet place to have breakfast. They were very accomodating to our family of 6. The staff kept bringing our four boys donuts and the best homemade smoothies. This is located one block behind Chedraui grocery store. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. Friendly staff and owner. No sign out front. Look for the fountain.”
“Exceptional coffee and the food was so affordable and delicious. Would’ve cost at least double this amount in US or Canada.
Go here instead of other places right by the water. This is only 20 meters from the water but you won’t feel scammed by outrageous prices other places charge.
I got a macchiato plus the Coz salad with an extra portion of chicken, which was way larger than I expected and comes with a small bowl of fruits on the side, for 210 pesos or 12 USD. I tipped well because this place deserves it. Your money will go far here. It feels way better to spend here than fancier places by the water.
Vegetarian options: Saw a lot of vegetarian options.”
“Great food and Drinks. Sits on the main drag of Cozumel which is a good place to people watch. Get the peanut/chocolate drink. It's a meal in itself!
Parking: Parking on the street is difficult. There are two parking lots on the same street. One behind the pizza restaurant and the other on the opposite side of the street. Both are cheap and worth the cost.
Kid-friendliness: It's an open air location right on the street.
Wheelchair accessibility: If you can navigate the sidewalks in Cozumel you'll be fine.”
“I had been wanting to come here for
The past three years and finally got the chance to try their Rojo Pozole. I had that and the pastor torta and they both were incredible. The staff was amazing and took time to make sure we had exactly what we needed. Everything was wonderful and I can’t wait to come here again.”
“The bread is excellent!!! A delight!!! To the
Like the cafe, it also has very well-proportioned breakfasts and the value for money is quite good. Highly recommended!!!”
“The Beef Quesadillas with Guacamole, Pico de Gallo, and Habanaro Salsa were out of this world! The atmosphere was quaint & nice with a flowering courtyard, and just relaxing. Highly recommend!”
“We visited this place for dinner on our first day in Cozumel everything on the menu was amazing. The lobster tails were my favorite everything was fresh and the staff was very attentive to our needs. Definitely eating here again before we leave!”

“I loved the food, very delicious, good quality products and excellent service!
I went 3 times on my vacation in Cozumel. I highly recommend it

“This is the best food in cozumel, I was there for a week and we ate 4 times there, the owners are incredibly humble and loving people it felt like we were eating at our abuelas everytime we went there, the sopes are amazing, pozole, the tacos my God the tacos are incredible, I can't wait to go back next year and eat here again.”
“A great place to have some mojitos, for me the best I've ever had. The service is great, captain jack sparrow is the best. We tried several drinks and there is a quality and price guarantee, they are not very expensive and the quantity is fair. We tried the pozole (warrior style) and so far it is the best pozole I have ever had, and it is strange to say that it was on a Caribbean island in Mexico.”
“Let’s talk about Quesopes…
I’ll start by saying this was a delivery order through whatsapp. I gave my address and order which was:
1 quesope with rajas
1 huarache with beef tinga
1 mega torta with shredded chicken (add cheese)
The friendly employee on the other end confirmed my order with prices that matched the online menu prices and added the delivery cost through rappi which was minimal. Then they gave me an estimated time of 30 minutes but said they would text if the order left sooner (it did) and thanked me with the opportunity to choose them….
My gosh I chose wisely for sure! There was so much shredded Oaxacan cheese on everything it was just crazy. The rajas were roasted to perfection and the beef tinga had just the right amount of onions, garlic, and grilled tomatoes. Crispy lettuce and avacado were on all three items. The sandwich was on the biggest loaf of garlic bread I have seen on n the island next to the baguettes at sugar and salt. Just an obscene.amount of food proportion wise per order and it tasted fresh and made to order. I bet it would be even better in store.
Here is the best part…from initial order time to delivery it was 15 minutes. Some sort of land speed record for sure. I’d say check the menu out and give it a try. We will again! — at Quesopes Cozumel.”
“Really cool spot with unique ingredients to try, we really wanted to try huitlacoche while in Mexico and heard we could do it here. Prices were fair and portions good, service was also good. However compared to many other quesadillas I’ve had in Mexico these were really just ok. Good novelty place to stop if there’s a specific ingredient you want to try
Vegetarian options: Many original non-meat options for your quesadilla”
“The shrimp pizza doesn't have a boss, the pastor lacks even more flavor.....by sk they had a good habanero sauce included in their recipes, pfff. The flavor would be amazing...”
“Excellent place to have breakfast on the island. Economical and accessible prices and very delicious food. Suuuuuper recommended. The dishes are well served. It definitely meets the 3 'b's: good, pretty and cheap. 100% recommended . Apart from chilaquiles you find cakes, golden tacos, hot dogs, Swiss enchiladas, eggs to order and you can enjoy fresh waters. Everything on the menu is delicious. If you visit it you will not regret it. EYE! Not open on Sundays”
“The Sunday I went they had a soloist who sings well, very good treatment from all the staff, very delicious food. Only if it is far from the boardwalk I recommend taking a motorcycle taxi at the kiosk that charges them. $50 ”
“Excellent service and exquisite food
Parking: It's just looking for where to park.
Wheelchair accessibility: If there is a wheelchair ramp”
“I have been going to this restaurant for the last three years and it is without a doubt my go-to breakfast place par excellence. The owner's attention is one of the best, she always greets with a smile, and she is my daughter's adoration; The waiters always remember what I order and have never disappointed with the quality of their food. GOD! The roast beef wrap, chicken quesadillas, and chilaquiles are the best things about this place.”
Cheap Eats
“Really, really, really good shop. Loved everything about it. I tried the tacos once - gluttonous as I am. Every single one was unusually good! The absolute highlight is the shrimp taco. I'm going to take another small busload of this gift from God this evening. The fish in garlic sauce is also simply delicious. And the best thing: there was a portion of guacamole first. And friends, I'm telling you... easily the best I've had in Mexico so far. I even think I dreamed about this green miracle sauce last night. If there were plastic chairs to complete the atmosphere, I could die a happy man.”
“Hidden gem worth the trek. This is where locals eat authentic delicious Mexican food that’s reasonably priced. It’s cheap by US and Canadian standards. Huge portions, fresh and delicious. I got the steak plate tacos which was supposed to come with only 5 tacos but they gave me 8 taco tortillas and there was so much juicy steak that I still had left over.
The boy who served me was so kind and has an innocence that other places lack. I got a taco plater which like I said was more than 8 tacos, guacamole and chips, and a soda for 210 pesos. I tipped well because your money goes far here, better to give more to locals than expensive places by the beach and tourist area.”
“Hands down my family's FAVORITE burger place. Seriously tasty burgers, coupled with the ever so rare, crispy French fries! I also want to mention they use fresh Angus beef, and not those frozen pre-formed patties. To top it off, you eat your meal on picnic tables right on the ocean.
Sneaky tip: No parking? Park across the street in the Mega supermarket parking lot and walk over.
Wheelchair access... Nope, the eating area is comprised of about 5 picnic tables on a large expanse of gravel.”
“Excellent
Solution where you can eat well and pay little.
Now tired (at the end of the holiday) of strong flavours, we asked for very simple things and they satisfied us 100%.
We went two consecutive evenings; the first time
We ate chicken and the second fish (I attach photos).
Abundant, good and satisfying dishes.”
“One of our favorite spots on the island. The food is amazing, the bone marrow beef tacos, tlayuda and tostadas are the bomb! Coupled with a Oaxaqueno or a Victoria, and the night is simply perfect. The service and place are casual and sitting on a sidewalk table it just perfection. The new non smoking rules make this even more enjoyable.”
“I had a house party where we were 30 people and decided the easiest was to bring the Taco Truck in to serve !! What a great idea that was! All the sides, delicious and fresh choices of tacos - hand made tortillas for everyone to see - brought a balloon bouquet to call attention to the address - all the details and deliciousness was there! Best idea ever for events and parties! La Mission Taco Truck comes to you!!”
“Foodies you’ve come home. When we got here, all the locals were eating at this mom and pop restaurant. Many other restaurants in The Mercado were empty. The mole was spot on. The fried fish was tasty and the Mexican steak was well seasoned and tender. If you’re looking for local food, look no further”
“Very delicious snacks!!! The option to choose which snacks you want of your choice! They show you the menu and every time you order your drink (it's one of the options) there are promos! you can choose your snacks! They brought us a well-fried fish for a snack at 7pm, it was delicious! Price is fair for everything you eat!! We arrived at 6:30pm! We will return!!?”
“Best breakfast on the island. Very friendly service. Prices are very reasonable. Our breakfast was very tasty, absolutely recommended.
Parking: On side of the road
Wheelchair accessibility: All at one level”

“Great spot to visit with a huge selection of different kinds of beer. Juan was awesome to talk to and very helpful. Will definitely come back next time we’re in Cozumel!”
“Have been wanting to try Be Natural and finally stopped in today. Got a salad with lemon pepper chicken and it was delicious! The grande was actually a grande. Will definitely be going back.”

“We were expecting a place with a more local flavor. When we asked for a place that was delicious, they would prepare small fish like a la carte or something more regional, we were expecting a place with a lot of seasoning; It was delicious but not what we expected. I ordered the coconut shrimp and they were delicious. Either way, the service was good.”

“HOLY COW!!!!! The best dang tacos ever!!!! GO, GO, GO!!!!! If they tell you the sauce is spicy, please listen.”
“We found this beautiful place about a block south of the ferry pier as we drove around on a rented scooter. The staff was exceptionally warm and inviting and the view was amazing as we ate five feet from the Caribbean. We had the lobster fajitas, 5 🌟s along with a couple ice cold beers. I don’t recall the price however, I was not shocked. I will always make it a point to eat here when we are In Cozumel.”
