Overdue review from my last 2 visits! I have to start out by shouting out Brea.Talk about fantastic recommendations, energy, kindness and great customer service. As someone who is new to St.George she made my 1st visit so pleasant! Also gave me great takeout recommendations since I only ordered soup the 1st time. Her Mac & cheese special recommendation was off the the charts flavour wise 10/10 . Chicken strips were also great. Brea is THE G.O.A.T š

What a lovely surprise- an unassuming little place and the only restaurant in Blacks Harbour. No shellfish, but boy can they cook! The fish and chips and tuna burger are amazing. The tuna āburgerā is a slab of gorgeous Ahi tuna, seared and spiced on a great roll. Fries are cut daily, salads fresh. Home made cheesecake deserts. Their bread is homemade. Donāt miss this place!

Come here, full stop (Iāll still elaborate).
After trying the gluten free Mac & cheese, chicken finger with GF batter, the soups, and the GF cheesecakes, it felt like a well-earned, home-cooked lunch. After 7 days on a road trip, this is the only restaurant that reflected the reviews.
The service is wonderful, the atmosphere is like a warm hug. The prices, as the owner reining from Niagara-On-The-Lake put it best, āis an Ontario quality menu without the pricesā.
Go out of your way to stop by. Thank you for honest and wonderful service, stay kind!

My husband is very limited to what can have for spices. We stopped there on our way back from Grand Manan. They were very accommodating to his dietary restrictions. The gentleman that was our server took the time to go through the menu with us. They were able to find a solution. Service and food were amazing. He even came back with a marked up menu for us to take with for next time. We are definitely coming back!

My wife and I were out for a drive and decided to stop for a snack .
We were a little off putting when the owner sat at our table and proced to tell us his life story about bad knees and how long he owned the place even to the point of answering questions that he asked himself....food good service great waitress was awesome....won't be going back.

1.2 hour wait for chicken strips, a burger and a piece of fish. All over cooked. They forgot the salad and dessert. If you have 2 hours to kill... it's the place. They definitely do not rush you out the door.

A destination in southern New Brunswick. Take the time to visit this standout establishment. There are few places in the world that are still like this (in the best way possible).

We ate at The Kitchen last night for the first time. We will definitely return! We ate outside on the patio because we had our dog with us. Nice that it is dog friendly. The staff were so friendly, the food was delicious and they made us all feel welcome. My husband had the fish and chips which looked great and he said were very tasty. One piece that was huge. I had the chicken club. It was excellent and I was stuffed. When it was time to go they kindly brought our bill outside to us along with a loaf of sour dough bread we decided to bring home for later. The bread is so good!! All the baking looked excellent. The staff is very accommodating. Everything was great and we will be returning soon!
