Was in Fredericton with my mom and decided to try this place, it was good, but gosh it was expensive.
The little desserts were ~13$ for a tiny square, so we only took one between us and a small lattee each. Total came to ~29$...
Quite similar to Tony's Bistro but double the price.
Delicious New Brunswick fog tea latte. They were sold out of the chocolate croissant I wanted but the raspberry scone and honey bun were okay.
Have tried a few different things and all were very well made!
Very great. Couldn't just buy one item.
Very nice spot for breakfast, sandwiches and deserts. Everything in the place is top notch quality. Plan ahead though because if they are busy the wait can be extended (good food takes time).
Tried desperately to order a cake for my father’s 83rd birthday. No one would take the order over the phone, emailed my order no one replied, called to try and verify order was received and being made no one would bother to go check, emailed owner no response. Absolutely ridiculous really. Kind of feel like I am being punk’d.
The best place we've visited in our visit in Fredericton.
The girl in the cash greeted us the moment we got in, and when we weren't sure what to get, she gave us the rundown on what pastry is always available and what seasonal what's always bought, etc. She saw me glancing at the booth table, and she cleaned it even before I could even ask.
The pastry may be a bit pricy, but it's worth the money. The coffee is good too. It's just perfect and enjoyed our visit. Would visit again if we ever come back to Fredericton.

I was very disappointed with the baked goods that I bought: a cake pop and lemon tart. These items both were VERY expensive and were both poor quality.
No prices on any items, making it feel deceptive.

Had a dark roast, friend of mine had a chai latte they were good. My boyfriend and some friends of mine got seasonal iced lattes. The lattes were either missing the syrup and bitter, or had no syrup at all and were borderline undrinkable due to the poor taste of the espresso.
The food came barely warmed and missing ingredients (my friends bacon was given to them in a separate bag after the fact). The food still tasted good, just not prepared as advertised.

On vacation in Canada, we went to Fredericton. where we discovered this small business. The welcome is friendly, and the place is clean. The cappuccinos are very beautiful. We had chocolate croissants, they are huge and even if they are not crispy like the croissants back home, they are still good. Good value for money. To discover if you are looking for breakfast.

First ever visit in Fredericton. Stumbled on Chess Piece Pâtisserie by chance and loved it! Even though the breakfast sandwich was already prepared in the counter, it tasted very fresh, eggs were fluffy, tomatoes and spinach crisp. Delicious! The millefeuille has to be one the best I have ever had, super flacky and crispy, excellent thick cream filling. The only thing I would improve is the sugary top which was dry, while I prefer it a bit soft. As an added bonus, one of the friendly staff members spoke French. Thank you for a very pleasant experience!

Amazing coffee, delicious sandwiches, and incredible tasting desserts (both fancy and not) make this a "Must Stop" spot in Downtown Fredericton.

The coffee is worth the trip, and the service is decent. The patisserie were definitely not worth 12$, and they tasted alright, but nothing exceptional. We had the choco tart and the carrot cake. Our drinks were toffee late and a brown sugar late.
