El Mariachi Restaurant Bar

Today was our first time trying El Mariachi. The food was delicious. Our server was excellent. We will be back!

The food and drinks were absolutely delicious! We are already planning our next visit. The service was also incredible last evening! ☺️ This place is a must try!

So ill start with the Cons: The location was unexpected. It's behind/in an apartment building so it is one of those "hole in the wall" restaurants that I wouldnt have found without a local recommendation.. (For ladies to be aware, the hallway to the bathroom feel kinda sketchy that I would use the buddy system to use the washrooms)

Pros: The food was so good!! I would say this is the place to go for authentic Mexican food. It did take a while to get your food so be prepared to wait, but it's worth it. So yummy and everything down to the nacho chips were home made. Be aware if you don't like sauce to mention it to the waiter as it comes all over the nachos. We don't mind so it was great. And they were even able to tone down the spice for one of our menu choices. Next time im in the city, I would bring my friends here if they are looking to have good Mexican food!

Listen, a true 10/10 hole-in-the wall experience won't have 'atmosphere' so don't be fooled by the weird location and way-to-spaced-out dining room. The food is amazing and the service matches.

If you want to have an amazing meal, go to El Mariachi. If you're looking for a nicer dinner date spot then the vibe goes to Dos Toros. But you can't beat the food and service here.

Parking: The parking lot is all the way around back. If it feels like you're reaching a dead end and only employees should be back there, you're actually in the right spot. Look for the El Mariachi parking signs.

Wheelchair accessibility: Everything is on the first floor and easily accessible from outside. No stairs or awkward turns/doorways.

Wouldn't have thought there was a restaurant from the outside...it's not much to look at, but it is worth it.

You have to eat here!

Even before I was in the restaurant I knew from the aroma hanging in the air that I was in for something special. The enthusiasm of the staff was obvious from my first interaction with them and the recommendations they about the menu could not have been better.

The food blew me away, I cannot think of a better way to describe it. I had three types of tacos, an appetizer, and huarache. All of them were absolutely amazing. This is the best Mexican food I have ever had outside of Mexico.

To top it off the prices were extremely reasonable and the atmosphere was lively.

Do yourself a favour, drop what you are doing, and go eat here.

The food is absolutely amazing. It is truly authentic and delicious. Each bite brought me back to Mexico. The staff is very friendly and the food is hot and “” DID I SAY AAAAMMMMAZING. You got to eat here.

It was a short trip to Mexico, with all the flavour and atmosphere. The food was so delicious and we cannot wait to come back. Order the margaritas, you will thank me!

Absolutely amazing. We loved the food. The margaritas were pretty awesome as well. Highly recommend. While the dining space is a little unconventional it works just go with it. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Don't be fooled by the decor or the atmosphere of the restaurant, their tacos are simply delicious!!! A good Mexican taste
