I chose this place because of a mention on Reddit. Then I looked at the reviews and it appeared to be well received. I love sushi and cannot get enough, however, I was very disappointed in the Lotus Cafe. As soon as I entered I was given a seat and a menu, there was one small sign saying “All you can eat sushi”. I asked for the all you can eat and the attitude of the person working changed. They went from being indifferent to annoyed. I was the hastily explained that I had 2 hours to eat and any waste was charged a full price. No problem, that’s pretty typical. I ordered the spicy miso soup and it was ice cold. The sushi came out pretty quick. Their salmon nigiri was ok but the fish appeared to be glossy. Smell and texture were fine. Their fire salmon nigiri was excellent! Then I ordered two maki rolls. They were both disgusting. Strong fishy flavour (like cheap and old fish sticks). Their Japanese green tea was awful. I have eaten sushi in many places across Canada and the world and hands down this is one of the worst sushi experiences I’ve ever had. I would also like to caveat my review with the fact that I went there mid afternoon & mid week so it may be better at peak but, keep in mind that they seem to be using old ingredients.

Food was delicious, atmosphere lovely, and friendly staff. All-You-Can eat sushi in Fredericton, at last! Great value for the price. Fish was fresh and sushi tasted hand-prepared and of high quality. Will be back here again soon!

I got the red curry vegetable pad thai and it was amazing! Very flavourful, and not super spicy for anyone worried about that. Fresh vegetables stir fried to perfection! Lots of cute decor and the owners are very sweet. If you haven't been here, this is your sign to come check it out!

Very Small portion for 20$. Pad Thai is my favorite dish and I've tried most in the city. This one lacked flavour and vegetables.

Ordered takeout. 4 items for 4 people, came to roughly $90. Portions were small, had beef and broccoli (only a few pieces of beef), sweet and sour chicken (again, light on the meat)… overall tasty however heavy on the vegetables and extremely light on the meat aspect. Not worth the money in my opinion.

We were pleasantly surprised by this little gem of a place passing through freddy. My date and I both got alot of mixed sushi, the seaweed salad and deep fried wonton, needless to say, we were very impressed. The staff was so sweet and considerate of us and couldn't have been more accommodating. Next time passing through, we will be sure to stop in again. Would certainly recommend!:)

5 star no questions asked. Nice atmosphere as soon as you walk in.Very polite server and chef. With just my first bite of pad thai I was blown away and the same went even more for the sushi. I thought for a better part of my life I hated sushi but then realized it was just all sushi in fredericton once I had sushi from the adradic . The sushi here is incredible

Good service. Horrible food. We tried the "all you can eat" and it was so bad that we couldn't eat it. The spicy miso soup tasted like swamp water with sriracha. The maki rolls were more fried onion flakes than rice. It was just bad. I think our server realized we weren't happy even though we didn't say anything. He sent a roll home with us. I felt sorry for him. He had to know how bad it was.

We had a really nice and quickmeal. Stopped in for late lunch. Will come back for the 39$ all you can eat menu. My menu photos are the menu for the All You can eat menu so no prices on

The sushi was ok but was mostly rice. There was a lot of filler and no sashimi on the menu. The waitress was below average. They didn't have many drinks, just pop and 1 kind of tea, no coffee. Will give them another chance if they get more items on their menu and their service improves.
