The worst poutine I have ever had !

Charity Calhoun

Fries were barely cooked enough to eat. Curds were cold.

Best Poutine place in Canada. Love this chain. Always fast, friendly and delicious

The fries were soggy and it didn't taste very good. Your money is better spent elsewhere.

Abit pricey but you get a decent amount and a variety of poutine choices

We try to make an excuse to visit Fredericton every fall for the sole purpose of eating lunch at Smoke's for an order of Holiday Poutine. We love their regular menu of poutine the rest of the year but the mix of turkey, stuffing, peas, and cranberry sauce, that they only offer in the fall, really ramps up the flavor! We felt there was a little too much gravy this year but that did not stop me from eating every single bite of the Wow size order!

Ordered a poutine, was not at all enjoyable, threw it out because I was not able to take another bite. I don't recommend a butter chicken poutine. It had a lot of whites of the green onion and the butter chicken was just the sauce mixed with gravy. Had it been more enjoyable if the temp was a little lower on the gravy, I might have eaten a little more.

Overall, for the price, I expected chicken in the butter chicken sauce and for there not to be gravy mixed in. As well, just a small amount of green onions would've been better so it didn't overpower the taste completely.

Dining area was clean but you can smell the humidity in the wood (like an old wet cabin) which may or may not start to mold?

EDITED FROM 6 YEAR OLD REVIEW (Previously 4/5 stars)

Few years ago the place made a pretty wicked poutine; may not have had crunchy fries, but you'd get a massive portion of fries and meat for the price you'd pay.

Went back in for the first time in years last week - the portion of meat I got on my poutine was honestly sad. No joke it was at most 1/5th what used to go on the poutine. Looked like somebody grabbed a tiny spoonful of pulled pork and dropped it on top.

Literally like 4 bites worth of meat and a tonne of overly salted, soggy fries for nearly $20. Yikes.

Simply not very good. Location allows for decent people watching. If you do like it, it’s a decent value.

Paid $8 for 3 deepfried dillpickle spears... very disappointed as the advertisement on the menu displayed a full box. Extremely misleading and not to mention EXPENSIVE.

Smoke’s! Our first stop back in Fredericton on our trip up from Maine was poutine for lunch at Smoke’s. Oh my goodness, so many types and toppings. A large is truly LARGE. A great value. The French fries are exceptional. I had the butter chicken poutine and the flavor was unbelievable. We love Smoke’s!
