Self serve coffee is a nice touch and the service was down home friendly. Sunshine diner is a quintessential diner experience. They are experts at what they do, and never fail to entertain, and satisfy. The food is great, the staff friendly. In my opinion the measure of a breakfast spot is the eggs Benedict, and no one does Benny like sunshine. A place with history such as this, who decides to do things the old fashioned way is invaluable in our fast paced modern world. Slow down enjoy your coffee and company. 6/5 stars.

There is a reason it is a hang-out for the locals as well as the occasional visitors from across the street from the Delta Hotel. The food is fresh and cooked to order from a menu that is a testament to a family-friendly local restaurant. The prices are more than reasonable and the portions generous. There is a leveling of the social hierarchy as everyone obtains their own beverages which is part of the charm in watching the newbies get politely put in their place when water & coffee & drinks are requested.
The Sunshine Diner teaches the lessons of patience, gratitude, and fellowship as opportunities are presented for families to interact beyond the cell phone screen in a heartfelt environment.
