THE best place for milkshakes in New Brunswick! Love to get mine with my daughter - made with chocolate milk and vanilla ice cream, they also give you the big metal cup they make it in as the extra doesn’t fit into your cup… just YuM!! :D !!!
I asked him for Mom & Pop style dining for dinner when we found ourselves in Fredericton due to my partners family suddenly being in the hospital, and he definitely understood the assignment!
The atmosphere was beautiful, the waitress was an absolute sweetheart and the food was so good - the egg salad melts in your mouth, absolutely delicious 🤤
If you're ever in the area, they are a must try!
First off I ordered two simple things off the menu, a burger and a poutine, and for the first time ever received completely BOTCHED versions of both. And that was after being stared down by a racist couple at the table next to us. Received poutine with shredded cheese and cold cheese curds with watery, bland gravy (seriously the lightest gravy I’ve ever seen) and a dry, bland and TINY burger with “the works” which consisted of a dollop of ketchup and relish and a teaspoon of diced onions. Then the waitress was either racist herself or needed a smoke break because she was talking to us like we snuck on Earth and looked unintelligent. This all made for an extremely unpleasant atmosphere which had us feeling completely unwelcome by both the staff and other customers. I’ve never felt more on display in my life, the older crowd was all staring at us like they just found out black people are free… Then I saw the cooks in the back with no gloves, wiping their hands on their shirts without a care in the world! Apparently the breakfast food is better but I won’t ever be back in that place to find out.
My husband and I try to go here as often as we can because it’s really such a great spot to eat and we always get really great service everytime that we go! The food is always amazing, hot and fresh, and the servers are always so kind and friendly no matter what. Love this place, always recommend it to everyone I know, and anyone visiting the Fredericton area.
Not what we expected.Food was just okay. The atmosphere was terrible.
A very different retro theme restaurant, Must visit if you like a get away from city.
The Cabin restaurant What a disgrace this restaurant enter through the back door they have the front door blocked with a table. If there was ever a fire, you’d never get out as for the food very disappointing disgusting disgraceful, one person serving the food. She was overwhelmed with the people that was there The food that we had ordered you see in the picture is not what it looks like. It was disgusting dog food probably would taste better. The gravy tasted like flour. The fries were so soggy the turkey I asked for they must leave in water because they tried to cover it up with gravy so you wouldn’t taste the water. The vegetables weren’t even thoroughly cooked. We asked for soup before the meal and they brought the soup at the same time they brought the meal I would not have ate this, but I did as I was hungry and never ate all day drove from St. John to Sussex from Sussex to this cabin restaurant in Fredericton never again I would never recommend anybody to ever go and eat there either if you wanna waste your money, be my guest, but I will tell you McDonald’s and Burger King taste a hell of a lot better than this place. Does the ventilation inside is terrible I hope the place never catches fire with people in there because they would be trampled on if there was half decent crowd in there they wouldn’t get out safely so I do not recommend anybody to go to this restaurant. I’d say go to the truck stop or some other restaurant in Fredericton not this place
My wife and I stopped in for some soup for a quick lunch. The homemade soup was outstanding. We were pretty impressed with the portions we got. We didn't expect a big bowl of soup. It was soooooo good.
I am far from home and this is my first meal on the East coast so far. And the lobster roll was so delicious!
The coconut cream pie was a nice dessert too !
Everybody was super friendly as well!
Thanks for having me !!
Good food, diner style. Lots of decor and history. Ambiance is fun. Staff are friendly and welcoming. It's a gem that's worth keeping.
