I was only in town for a day, and needed somewhere gluten-free. What an amazing sélection! I bought four muffins and every single one was delicious. The raspberry chocolate and raspberry almond orange were my personal favourites. I had a delicious breakfast sandwich and it felt like I was home.

Employees talking to one another or just stood there looking at me or trying to do other things. Waited almost 5 min to get service. The place was not busy one other customer there being served and then they were just talking to each other did not serve us. Another Employees did whom was trying to avoid us aswell at first.

I purchased a carrot cake here for my husband’s birthday. He didn’t want a gift so I figured I’d at least get him a “good cake” from a “real bakery” so I was willing to pay the whopping $45 dollars they charge for it expecting it to be stellar. I ordered it ahead of time and picked it up promptly on his birthday and served it that same night. What a disappointment. The cake was terrible. It was dry as sand, stale tasting, with a minuscule layer of what was supposed to be cream cheese frosting inside and out. If there was any cream cheese in that frosting I couldn’t taste it at all. My husband was polite about it but I could tell that he was disappointed. I felt like I ruined his birthday with this awful cake. It was the only thing he had to celebrate his birthday. I will never buy a cake from the happy baker again and I doubt I’ll ever chance buying anything else either.

I have been here many times and I am always pleased with my experience. They have fresh baked goods of all kinds as well as a great sandwich and soup menu and ice cream bar. The tables by the windows are a perfect place to eat or study in peace. Service with a smile always as the staff are always friendly. Highly recommend coming here for lunch or for your everyday bread, muffins , scones and treats.

I recently got married the 21st of August and knew I wanted to order my cake locally. I couldn’t have picked a better bakery than Happy Baker. The staff were amazing to communicate with and answered all my questions without hesitation and promptly! They created the cake of my dreams and it was absolutely delicious, and my guests loved it too! Thank you again!
