The food taste was very good. I was not expecting the fry vegetables be like this juicy but the taste was very good. The salmon was very delicious and we also got the steak as well which was good. The atmosphere was very good and quiet and the waiters very friendly!!
If i had an option of 4/5 star i will give that as well got our food a little late and some families got their earlier although came after us. I will go there again.

The food here was great a lot better than I was expecting to be honest.
I had a Mitaki mushroom dish that was delicious. The only thing I found was that there wasn’t enough of it with it being a strictly vegetarian dish. It just felt like it needed more.
I tried my friends fish as well and it was fantastic. Everything was plated so beautifully.
The service was great. I did find that the interior was A little plain. They could use some better decor to match the beautiful plating.

We have been several times in the past, really enjoyed it and returned after a few years away. We noticed the menu was completely new. We ordered the salmon tortilla entree, the cacio e Pepe and the broccoli beef main. The food was generally disappointing, unlike years past. The salmon was not fresh, the chimichurri distasteful and the pasta was overcooked. There are better places in Fredericton.

We took our out-of-town family here to celebrate Father’s Day and generally had a good time. Food was mediocre. Not like the past. We have been dining here for many years. and have enjoyed it. Sadly, not so now. The most embarrassing thing was, at 8:30 (we had arrived at 7) somebody turned up the music, an obvious signal for us to leave.

We visit Fredericton every year or two and have been coming to the Palate for decades as it's a family favorite. Unfortunately this visit I was less than impressed by the food. The maple ginger salmon was like having a piece of salmon instead of a pancake. The chocolate mousse was waaaaay too sweet. A lot of overly sweet items (sugar is not a great flavour or healthy). The seafood chowder didn't have enough fish/seafood in it and was mostly broth. The potato bun they used to serve with it was far better than a crostini. I do like the lemon meringue salmon, their Cesar salad and some of their open face sandwich blue plate lunch specials. Sometimes the front of house is adequately staffed and when it is you have awesome costumer service. Honestly I've had some really above and beyond servers here! I do think they need to get noise dampening panels installed as it can be quite hard to hear friends when the place is packed due to talking not overly loud music. A think a few tweaks and the Palate would regain their place as number one resto in Fredericton for me.

Had lunch with an old friend here and was amazed. I will be visiting again with many more lunch meetings!
Yummy doesn't even describe the food!!
Really interesting menu. I chose the Duck Confit and it was great.
AMAZING this spot did not disappoint
I've lived in Fredericton for 5 years and have passed by this restaurant on several occasions without ever having stopped in. My wife finally convinced me to make a reservation for my birthday dinner with friends and I must say WOW, I was impressed.
Don't be fooled by its demure setting, this restaurant serves up some visually appealing, well crafted and delicious dishes. We started with a few appetizers including a shredded duck tostada as well as a sliced and braised pork belly...so tasty. My wife ordered the steak and potatoes while I selected to Coq au Vin.
Might I say this may well be the best restaurant, fine dining at least. that I have yet to try in Fredericton. Its obvious that the dishes were carefully prepared with both thought and care and the final delivery was visually stunning. Great food, great menu, fantastic service...Strongly recommend!
PS - Don't skip on the desserts! My English Sticky Toffee was delish!

DONT GO... I don't understand the high ratings this restaurant gets. The food is awful and the service it worse. FIRST YOU HaVE TO WALK THROUGH your grandmother curtains to enter the restaurant.. I actually had to ask if the restaurant was open. The manager/ maybe bartender looked me and my wife up and down as if we didn't belong at the restaurant. We were seated by the waitress. I ordered a pot pie and the wife ordered a salad. The salad was pure raw cabbage with 4 cranberries mixed in. She couldn't eat it. The table beside us experienced the same meal. And she couldn't eat it. The pot pie was old maybe 2 to 3 days old. It was not fresh and imo was microwave before served. Still cool inside. IT will be the last time I will go to this restaurant.. my wife had to go to Mary's Brown to eat. SHAME ON YOU...
Food was alright. Service was great though.
Both the entrees my partner and I got tastes like they were cooked in a burnt pan and my duck was burnt not seared. Overall I’m happy but the kitchen needs a little work..
Excellent atmosphere.
