We stopped by Picaroons Roundhouse today around 5, and while I was glad to find it quieter than usual, I’m sure the staff would have preferred the usual buzz of a full house! This spot is typically bustling thanks to its prime location and unbeatable atmosphere & drinks—whether you’re seated indoors or enjoying the patio.
Our visit was nothing short of fantastic. The food and drinks were top-notch: I treated myself to their indulgent loaded fries, kid #1 enjoyed classic chicken fingers, kid #2 savored a burger and fries, and my wife opted for the flavorful chicken burger. Not a single complaint—every bite was devoured with enthusiasm!
Picaroons consistently delivers on ambiance and quality. I’d love to see the space expand to accommodate more parking and seating while maintaining its current charm and location. It’s truly a gem!"

Typical pub, great Tap selections. Food from 540 was mediocre. Ordered pulled pork tacos and they were luke warm. Had to go pick up food myself, but was quick from time ordered until pager went off.

Just not for us. Although the atmosphere is nice in regards to variety of seating and lighting, the food, which is essentially pub food, feels like it's been made fancy, i.e. fries over seasoned. Let fries be fries. Food got cold quickly as well. Gets noisy very quickly, and definitely not enough parking for such a large location. If you're not a beer drinker, it's probably not the place for you. This location is meant for gathering and chatting, rather than a solo outing for reflection or reading, etc. Dog friendly location which is great, but to be kept in mind if you are allergic to or are nervous around dogs.
Parking: Only enough parking for about 30-40% of capacity.

Fun and inviting. Very casual and relaxing. Dog friendly. Food is good and so is the huge variety of delicious beer. They have lots of stylish merch too (for all the shoppers). Parking is available but it’s a very popular place so it can get scarce. Perfect location on the river and bike trails as well as the bridge. They have outdoor seating too.

As someone from Toronto, I can’t believe a place like this exists and didn’t have a lineup out the door. The whole spot was amazing. Large facility with many options for food, drink and coffees. The back patio area is massive and a spot id be a regular in. Amazing park close by right on the water. If you visit the area, make a stop here 100%.

This is my favorite hangout place in Fredericton, they bake carrot cake and brownie in house, the taste of food is good, and fresh. Their cherry ciders are worth a try.!!!
