This place is fun, but very different than most restaurants. You have to go get your drinks at the bar on one side of the building, then place your food order at another window. There is no wait staff to seat you nor to take your orders, you do it all yourself. The food is good, and it seems to be a very popular place. There is ample room both indoor and outdoor, with lots of tables.
The place is great. Sit by the water, bring your dog and have a beer. It is still one of our fav spots in the city. On our most recent visits, food seems have slipped a bit. My go to order of a burrito bowl has changed, no fresh jalapeños, bigger plate with lots of lettuce but less of everything else. My wife’s buffalo chicken burger was okay, not much sauce, a bit greasy and limp fries. Not bad, just not the same awesome food it used to be.
Great atmosphere. This might be the best brew pub I've been to.
Good pub food, good service and a unique take on setting up a brew pub for success. I loved the setup, the patio was fantastic, and the separate ordering locations for food, ice cream and alcohol as well as a local coffee shop inside the taphouse. Picaroons had a local collective vibe and obviously had a good local following with a full patio on a Monday evening.
