My grandson and his from out-of-town friend went there for lunch. They enjoyed their meals very much. Before they left, I told them I saw a new item to do with a Newfoundland poutine that sounded perfect for me. My husband Doug also said he always orders his fried clams half-cooked. Well, you guessed it. We are now enjoying clams and the new poutine in the comfort of our own home. Bless you all!

Skipper Jack's Maritime Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with great food and friendly service. The menu features a range of options, including the Ship's Ahoy ultimate platter, which is a highlight despite being pricey. The bacon-wrapped scallops are a must-try, and the seafood chowder has received high praise for its abundance of fish and no potatoes. While some dishes like the fish and chips may receive mixed reviews, many diners appreciate the light and flavorful Old English Style fish and chips. The homemade tartar sauce is wonderful, and the coleslaw has also been noted as very good. Diners have enjoyed the clam chowder, noting it as a tasty choice. The decor has an old-style charm, reminiscent of the 80s, which adds to its unique atmosphere. The service is courteous, with staff members being attentive and caring, contributing to a pleasant dining experience. Prices, although steep, are considered reasonable given the quality and quantity of the meals. Guests are encouraged to reserve a table to avoid long waits, especially during peak hours, but parking options are available on-site and nearby. The restaurant is popular and serves great food, with a busy atmosphere that is understandable given the wait times. The lobster roll, while noted to be a bit too buttery, is described as spectacular. The restaurant is clean and tidy, and the enjoyable 80s-90s playlist adds to the relaxed environment. Overall, Skipper Jack's provides a wonderful experience for seafood lovers.
