Cheese Curds Gourmet Burgers + Poutinerie

This place is very hit and miss....but mostly miss. The past couple of regular poutines have been nasty, double fried fries, gravy NEVER tastes the same and the onion rings are bargain basement. For the price of the food compared to the slop I get there are better options available. They used to be good value for your dollar...not so much anymore.

Over multiple visits to Montreal I have tried just about every highly recommended poutine that city has to offer, and all of them left me slightly disappointed.

But this out of the way little East Coast fast food joint did not disappoint me in the slightest when it came to their poutine. Absolutely perfect melding of flavours and textures. I especially recommend the Buffalo chicken; the ginger carrots are a killer topping choice that I did not expect, and absolutely love.

This place will cost you the same as a McD's run and it's better in every possible way.

My only possible complaint is that their fish and chips were decidedly mid.

As a former Montréal résident, their poutine is as close as to what I used to order when I was living there. The customer service was amazing and the staff is super kind.

This restaurant was recommended by one of my friends that works at the downtown military base. I do not regret coming down to eat, this is super good and tasty! Thank you for everything!

We visited this location yesterday, October 6th 2024. 45 minute wait for a burger that was so over cooked it was CRUNCHY and black? Along with the onion rings, you could hardly chew anything but the cold soggy fries…oh and yes everything was over cooked yet ice cold? I’m unsure if they’ve ever changed their grease…also ordered a burrito from habaneros, the size was huge and that I can appreciate. The tortilla was soggy and the whole burrito tasted like cardboard, absolutely no flavour or seasonings whatsoever. I think this is probably my first ever review for a restaurant so that’s gotta tell you something..safe to say we won’t be back

Gone downhill since it's conception a decade ago. Sad to see. Pay your workers more. No one believes your "nation wid labor shortage" poster at your front cash. Get real. Your employees deserve better

Staff are always helpful, and are people just like you and me, the have 0 problems with checking ingredients out back, ask me how I know, I’m vegan. Lol. Everytime I come to this place, doesn’t matter the time, nor date, these people are ALWAYS ready to serve you, and help you with anything at all along the way, but be had their cooks “ring me in” I’ve been there when they are short staffed, I’ve been there holidays when it’s BUMPING, NEVER, have I had a bad experience. 100/10 beyond acceptable service!!! Thank you to the staff and owners for having an absolutely stand up establishment. WILL ALWAYS EAT AGAIN!!!!!

We ordered grilled chicken burgers with some poutines and man were they delicious! A lot of local crowd and guys from the armed forces, looks it’s a staple for the town!

OMG ? ? ? we're new to the area and I can't believe we drove by a few times before stopping! Truly amazing food! The staff was fantastic ? and the atmosphere spot on! We will be back for more!!!!

Oh my God! If you've never been here do yourself a favor and stop in, the food quality is unbeatable! Massive selection of feel good foods, poutine, taco, burgers, salads plus much much more and the prices are reasonable 5* across the board

If you're interested in having a huge full flavor burger look no further! I tried their bacon mac and cheese burger.
Tables weren't to clean however. So decided to eat at their outdoor patio.

Not what one has come to expect of a "fast food" establishment. It's very very good for the occasional treat. It's not about the atmosphere but the quality of the food. Very fresh, very tasty. Creative menu. And clean!
