They even gave me a full refund which I wasn't expecting but it just goes to show how nice they were. I came here all the way from the Netherlands and I don't regret a single thing coming here. “I always have loved Barred Rock. Quality honestly feels like it depends on the day. Sometimes it's the best chicken I've ever had and other times it's incredibly mediocre. I'm not sure why.
It's still one of my comfort food places otherwise. This is the poutine with fried chicken.“

“Me and my two best friends went while spending the day uptown.
The owner (I think) was incredibly accommodating of my gluten free diet, and we had a lovely chat. I didn't mind that he wasn't the most knowledgeable, because whenever me or my friend raised a concern he was hugely respectful and found out before proceeding. He was even very chill when I had to change my order to accommodate!

Overall we were all very pleased!
I had the Toro Bowl, one friend had the nachos (the chips are colorful which we found fun!), and the other had a burrito... none of us were disappointed!

As long as whoever serves you is willing to communicate, this place is great for gluten free!“
