“We were camping for five days at nearby Kouchibouguac national Park and wanted to have a break from cooking. We took a chance on MAKEBA restaurant and were surprisingly delighted. Upon entry, we were greeted by cheerful staff. Our waitress, Jeanne, was fabulously charming. She made recommendations and was fun with her banter. The menu was quite eclectic, but both my wife and I settled on the poke bowls. We started with the scallops. Everything was delicious, including the local sourced IPA on tap. What a cosy find in a less travelled part of New Brunswick.”

I had a parfait with hot fudge, peanuts, and whipped cream. My son got a medium slushy. It came to $7.65, which I thought was VERY cheap!!Would definitely return. We're camping at Kouchibouguac and wanted to get out. It as a nice drive!”

“We treated ourselves to pizza and an ice cream cake from First Star & Pizza Shack...and it was honestly the best decision we’ve made all week. The pizza hit all the right notes, perfectly baked crust, gooey cheese, and super tasty toppings. But the ice cream cake… wow. It completely blew us away. So creamy, flavourful, and not overly sweet, honestly better than anything we’ve had from DQ. You can tell it was made with care. It turned a regular night into something special. We’ll definitely be back for more!😍”

“Had fast, friendly and excellent service from this location. Their Dinner for 4 is an excellent deal and gives you ample amount of food for 3-4 person. I would definitely go there again and recommend this place to anyone including friends and family. They also have deals on specific days of the week should which should be checked out.”
