“I wanted to take my friend out for their birthday, and we decided to go to Vitus Uptown. We didn’t have a reservation, but when we arrived, there were several empty tables. The staff told us they were waiting for a party of 31 to be seated upstairs and instead made us sit at the bar to eat. First off, I’m not a drinker, and I don’t appreciate being seated next to alcohol being poured, especially when there were open tables. Sitting at the bar was uncomfortable, especially since I have neuropathy in my leg, and benches are not ideal for me. We expressed that we would have preferred a table, but they never accommodated us—even after we overheard that some reservations had been canceled. In the entire time we were there, only one of those tables ended up being filled. What made this even more disappointing is that my friend doesn’t get out of the house often. This was supposed to be a special night, and instead, we felt dismissed. When I voiced my concerns, I was looked at as if I was the problem rather than being heard. If we had been seated properly, we would have likely ordered more food and stayed longer, but instead, we felt rushed out. I’ve been to other Vito's locations, and the food has always been great. This time was no exception, and I do appreciate that they validated our parking and provided a complimentary dessert. However, service is just as important as the meal, and this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. When people go out and spend their money, they expect to be treated with respect. This night could have been handled so much better.“

“We just stopped in on our way to an appointment in Ain’t John. Excellent service, fast, friendly, efficient and very reasonable prices. Sit inside or out and they even have crows who hang out. Do yourself a favour and come check it out. Great view of the ferry. 5/5“

“A friend and I stopped in while on a work trip. We were met by the GREATEST bar tender I've ever had the pleasure of being served by. Dave was extremely personable and friendly. The owner, Kevin, happened to pop in to have a chat with us as well.

10/10 experience. We can't wait to go back.“

“On a rain-soaked day, I dropped by here because the bus stopped close by, and I didn’t want to get so wet. Here for lunch, so I thought. But, this is not a full time restaurant despite the misleading name. It’s a mini casino with hundreds of slot machines and sometimes with food. When I told Terra I came for food because I needed to eat, she told me that food was not available right now. She did tell me about the restaurant across the plaza and promptly gave me a bag of popcorn and some toothpicks…“

I went for a solo dinner and to sample a few local brew offerings.

I settled on the seafood chowder and it was excellent, full of seafood and with perfect crispy sourdough.

The beef tip sandwich was tasty and well prepared with their house spices.

“I had an amazing experience at Lemongrass! The service was outstanding, and our server Zev went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The food was absolutely incredible – I had the tacos, and they were bursting with flavor. The atmosphere was beautiful, making the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. “Had dinner twice there as I was staying at the Hilton. First night got the Nachos, they were pretty nice, good portions and very fresh. Second night was the Fish N Chip, which was disappointing, the tartar sauce felt weak, the batter was soggy, and the fish tasteless. Nice selection of draft beer, but they are over 11$ a pint.“

“Happy to say my friend and I went to Tipsy Tomatoe after a manicure right across the parking lot and was greeted by a friendly , polite and helpful waitress. We ordered the hamburger and fries and I must say the hamburger was the best burger I have had in years. The fries could have been a little crisper and less grease but they were tasty. Service and food was great and drinks were happy hour prices . Will definitely be back.“
