We hired Char and Chowder as the caterer for our wedding.
They certainly did not have an easy job, as they had to design a menu that accommodated a wide range of tastes, from foodies to "meat and potato" types. I, the bride, am also a vegetarian (and one of the aforementioned foodies) and so it was important to me that there be a "real" vegetarian dish that stands on its own, rather than being an afterthought. If you're a vegetarian, I'm sure you know what I am talking about!
Despite these challenges, Char and Chowder delivered an outstanding spread of hors d'oeuvres and dinner buffet that pleased everyone, including children, picky eaters, and more refined tastes. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, raved about how incredible the food was and how high-quality it was. The food is a really important part of any wedding, and it was important to us that we keep our guests well-fed with delicious food. We had an amazing wedding (on Ministers Island) and I have no doubt that Char and Chowder's services played a significant role in that.

Fantastic experience. My only complaint is that you can't order tap water--only buy a bottle. I think it's because it's essentially a food truck/trailer with a shelter next to it. But even so, I'd go again for sure.

Wheelchair accessibility: I am quite certain when they are open they have a large ground level sliding door that opens which would allow wheelchair access.

Ordered 2 drinks each in cans mind you and the owner/ manager I guess you'd call her opened all our beer cans and stuck her nails in the drink holes as she opened them 🤢 seemed like she was rushing us out and wanted us to drink our beverages FAST since she opened up all cans for us (and it was only two of us, so why opened all if them) instead of letting us do it ourselves. I didn't drink mine and just left them on the table because who wants to consume whatever is on her nails that dipped into my can as she opened it...yuck too bad because it is a cute place but we won't try again!
