It was already after 9 PM on a quiet Tuesday evening and we still got served a delicious meal. Both the shrimp fried rice as well as the tostada's were very tasty (and a bit spicy too). We can definitely recommend the restaurant!

I can’t say enough about how incredible William and Water is. I came to St. Andrews for a surprise proposal and, at the last minute, needed a restaurant. I reached out to them, and they went above and beyond—providing flowers, a candle, and champagne to make the moment special. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were warm and welcoming. This will definitely be our go-to spot whenever we return in the future.

I've been to a great many restaurants around the world. I've traveled all over. This is my new favorite restaurant. Once I drove 14 hrs to just eat dinner at a place. This i would fly in just to do so.
The staff is helpful, not pushy. They appreciate and love the food they serve, and the atmosphere is not pretentious. The food though...the food. It's provided in courses, and will come to you in such a manner as to give you a little rest between them. We had the smashed potatoes, scallops and Khao Soi Dreams. The potatoes had a little zip to them but were very savory. It was both a comfort food and fine dining appetizer if I were to describe it...they went quickly. The the scallops were perfectly done and in a bowl of this perfectly balanced sauce. It was both hearty and delicate in both flavor and texture. The Khao Soi Dreams was a perfectly done pot roast in a broth that I can't describe. It was also done very well.
Now desserts...I have a sweet tooth and usually get dessert regardless if I should or not. However I've found they usually aren't something I remember a place for. The exception is the Aloe Vera Sorbet at the Imperial Cafe in Prague. William and Water's canolis were the best I've ever had. They had enough balance of sweet that they weren't just gobble down food, while remaining subtle in flavor and balance enough to make me want to savor them. Great job!

Our server Ben was very friendly and professional. Delicious and imaginative cuisine. Everything was perfectly prepared!
We were there on a Saturday evening, if they had been open on Sunday, we would’ve returned again for another fabulous meal for two night’s stay in Saint Andrews. Our only comment would be that the background music was a bit loud. It would be nice if it could be turned down just a bit.

Spectacular food and service. The best dining experience I've had in years, along with a friendly and attentive server who kept our dietary restrictions in mind. It's on the pricier side, but totally worth it. We ate at several other restaurants in St. Andrews and nearby towns, and nothing else came even close. The food at William and Water is interesting, with complex and intense flavours that go beyond just a burger or fried fish (which are OK too, but we were tired of that by this point!)
You probably need a reservation, even in late September! No vegan or vegetarian protein options, though the vegetable dishes were delicious.
Dietary restrictions: No vegan or vegetarian protein options. Not sure about GF. They easily accommodated our lactose intolerance though.

Delicious Oysters.
The dishes are shareable. Atmosphere is relaxed with lots of light.
The food is delicious and made from scratch. The beef melted in your mouth. The vegetarian dishes were excellent. The seafood was very fresh and delicious.
Do not neglect dessert here! The cannoli and chocolate cake were a dream.
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options but not many.
Parking: Free street parking but on a busy street.

Went here for our wedding rehearsal dinner on September 13th. We had a party of 17 and it was definitely not an easy task to deal with all our orders. The staff were incredibly nice, the food was absolutely amazing and we had a fantastic time. I highly recommend this place. Please order as many garlic shrimp fried rice as you can :D (sorry!). I'd give this more than 5 stars if I could.

We had an outstanding meal at Williams and Water! The flavors were delicious and crave worthy! Started with cauliflower and smashed potatoes and I had the beef carpaccio tacos which were to die for! A definite must!

We’ve been visiting St. Andrew’s for years, and the food options, especially for dinner, have always been tricky. It’s always hard to find spots that aren’t overpriced and complete tourist traps.
We stumbled upon William & Water during our summer 2024 trip to St. Andrew’s and were blown away by the food, service, and overall experience. Their menu is divided between veggie-forward and meat/seafood-forward small plates, with the latter being on the bigger side. Everything we tried was delicious, and the portions were bigger than we expected. The mussel escabeche was pure perfection, and the Khao Soi Dreams (with braised beef) was also a favorite.
The service was impeccable — our server was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. I wish I had gotten his name to add it to this review!
I totally recommend reservations, which we were able to easily make online. They had bar seating and regular tables. We chose a table by the front entrance, and it was quite cozy. I'm really looking forward to dining here again during our next trip!

Had a wonderful dinner! Lobster toast and the curry beef dish. Lobster toast was a very light meal, wish it came with at least a salad. Husband said curry beef was great! Chocolate cake and cannollis were great deserts.
Service very accommodating. We did not have reservations, so at first we had to sit outside but even before we ordered a table inside was available and they moved us inside. Nice evening for our last night in Canada. Thank you.
