The staff are what make this place so amazing, the food is amazing as well, ofcourse.
Unexpectedly delicious! Highly recommend the lemongrass beef — wow so flavourful! We also liked the eggrolls and chicken chow mein noodles— the spring rolls were also a highlight. Service was great, fast and food stayed piping hot until we got home (25 min drive). We ordered general tsao chicken as well but would not recommend— ketchup-y sauce with no heat, and chicken was in strange long ‘strings’ rather than chunks. But this was a small blip on an otherwise very nice meal. We will be back— especially for that lemongrass beef!

Absolutely terrible customer service. I ordered chicken lo mein noodles. They were cold and slimy. Called and was told to return for a refund and when my daughter tried to return the noodles she was told to bad. I tried calling and explaining that I had talked to a guy on the phone and was told to return for a refund. Nope, it's your fault you don't like them. I had taken 3 bites.
The best Chinese food ever

Staff was friendly and we had hopes based on the aromas coming from the takeout bag, but were rather disappointed.
Portions were small. Prices were high. Anything that wasn't straight-up lousy was underwhelming. Bland food, lots of filler in some of the main dishes (celery/onions). Soup had almost no flavour. Sweet and sour sauce was watery. Just a really disappointing experience, particularly as it was an expensive meal we drove 30 minutes each way to get. We picked up our order early (just before 5:pm) and the restaurant was empty and food was all prepared over the 30 minutes we waited, so I suspect what we got was the norm, rather than being a product of a busy kitchen.

My receipt reads, Fortune River Asian Restaurant. It's a recently opened place, a gem among the pubs in the town of St. George. The large menu lists dishes of the various ethnicities, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Thai. We shared Singapore Noodles and Salt -and-pepper Shrimp. Never had better, the beef in the noodle dish was tender and both dishes were perfectly seasoned (perhaps too salty for a few diners, but great for both of us). The shrimp were large, what I call two-biters, and lightly dusted with cornstarch, which gave them wonderful texture. I would expect Thai curries and Vietnamese pho soups to be of the same high standard. Lots of take out orders the Saturday we were there, and since everything is cooked to order, large orders may have some dishes at a lower temp than later cooked ones. Better to eat there IMO. Great food!
We have ordered takeout a couple times and found the egg rolls and chicken balls overcooked but they were busy so we assumed that was the problem. Ate in and had the same problem. The plum sauce and sweet and sour sauces were excellent and served on the side. The fried rice had no extras- no meat or vegetables. The chop suet had too much lettuce which is not tasty hot. It is an odd place inside. Not great for accessibility. Steps in odd places without rails or warning. Feels a bit chaotic and dark, Likely was a cafe at one point and needs renovations inside. Pleasant staff and efficient. It has potential but odd spot in a mall.
They are actually vietnamese and I make better pho!

If I could 0 star, I would. They're incredibly unprofessional. They had their child call me and tell me they weren't going to fix my order, not even 2 minutes after they hung up after telling me they would.
