“We are not from the Saint John area and we stumbled apon this new whiskey bar. We told our host at the door that it was our first time in and she graciously took us on a tour of the whole place. This place has an old town classy vibe with a beautiful outdoor patio. Unfortunately we were to late in the evening to order from thier delicious looking menu but the cocktails made up for that as they were delicious. The hostess was very helpful with the drink menu and recommendations. Hopscotch will definitely be our place to go when in Saint John. We can't wait to come back and try the food menu!“

“A $60 Date With Disappointment (And Only the Lobster Kissed Me Right) It was my first time here, and I came alone but I wasn’t planning to feel alone. You’d think they’d charm a solo diner with a seat by the view, but no... they tucked me away upstairs in the loneliest corner like I was a secret they didn’t want anyone to see. Romantic? Not exactly. I asked for an iced tea. The server poured it like it was fine wine, then whisked away the bottle, half full. Um... was that rationed or just rude? Let’s talk food. The crispy pork bites? More like crispy heartbreaks—dry, chewy, and a jaw workout I didn’t sign up for. The dipping sauce? Tangy, spicy, and just plain wrong. Like a bad blind date that shows up with no personality and too much cologne. Then came the lobster bun and fries. The lobster with garlic aioli? Finally, someone (or something) understood the assignment. Tender, flavorful, seductive. But the bun was small—tease—and the fries? Dry, bland, and abandoned on the plate like they gave up on life. Not even a sauce to save them. In the end, I paid around $60 for a solo meal (including tip) to feel... unsatisfied. A tragic romance of missed potential. I can’t say it was worth it but maybe I just didn’t order the right dishes. Perhaps there are other items on the menu that shine. Maybe I’ll come back. Maybe I won’t.“
