Can't never visit have to go to locust bakery because this place has the weirdest hours. They open while at work and close before I get off they need to work with the hrs for more customers ?

A busy place is always a sign of good things, and it proved true here. I haven't seen a take a number service store since I left NY in 1980. The system was then and still is a great way to keep your customers moving forward.Four of us were there, and we tried each other's orders, and they all were outstanding.Don't miss this opportunity.

Cookies mehhh, brownies mehhh, cake mehhh, pies amazing, pastry amazing, fruit bar amazing and wow the bread is amazing! We came in with little ones and were very disappointed that they didn’t have a single high chair. It was hard to enjoy our order with kids on our lap.Kid-friendliness: No highchairs
I have been a 10+ year customer of this place. Everything USED to be awesome. Now every time I go in there the clown cookies are always burnt! This was my favorite item at this place and the past 5 times I have went it has been disappointing. Every clown cookie I have gotten has been BURNT. I love the icing and the softness of these cookies but how can I enjoy it when it’s like eating a brick covered in icing. This is totally unacceptable and this is the reason that myself and my whole family will stop shopping here from this point on. VERY DISAPPOINTING. Another note to this is that the dark skinned lady is always rude to me and when asking about why they have been burnt she makes rude remarks back. Will not return, this place has gone very down hill.

I have to say, I'm seriously let down. I debated about writing this review, because I was born and raised here, and this place is nostalgic for myself, as for many, and I so want to love this place for its actual food...not just for a memory. I had, nearly six years ago, recieved one of their birthday cakes from a friend for my birthday. (Only cake I've ever had from them) I'm nearly 40, and it was the worst cake I've ever put in my mouth. The icing was solid and fell to pieces like chipped paint when cut. The cake itself was so dry it couldn't be swallowed without water. I wrote it off as just a one out kinda thing. Fast forward to today, now that they had opened their new store, I figured why not give it a try. Mostly, for my Lil one, he had never been to a sweet shop before and this was his first time. I bought three different types of sweets (4 total), and all where disappointing. The frosted football cookie (he ate the icing, took one bite of the cookie, and suddenly frowned, and asked for something else) I put it off to him just wanting to try other goodies. (Kid in a candy store syndrome lol) But later I found out that it, as well as the m&m cookie were as hard as rocks and flavorless. They could have been used as ninja death stars! Then the two chocolate cream horns, one the pastry tasted sour ( I have made enough puff pastry myself to know that taste, even if subtle). The filling was *chefs kiss* However, the second chocolate cream horn had cinnamon in the filling, which took me by surprise. I am sitting here at my kitchen table, $10 bucks down the drain, with a bag of sadness, instead of delectable delights. To be honest, I could careless about the money, but I feel like something needs to be said. I dunno if they are not taste testing their products often enough, if it's issues with ingredient quality control, or if its something else. Perhaps I just have the worst luck when it comes to this establishment. I have worked in the restaurant business and bakery business, so I understand the ins and outs, the occasional mishaps, as well as the struggles. But if everything I pay for has turned out to be subpar, then that speaks volumes. The new shop is beautiful (no doubt), upscale trendy patisserie, the staff were kind and helpful, but the food itself was giving week old revolving merchandise vibes and loss of culinary passion. What I say, may sound harsh, but I say it not out of spite, but out of love for this cherished business that is one of the many gems of our community and it's history. I want and hope for it to be around for another 50 years, but my continued experience is pushing me toward the walmart bakery.

Great new location for a Stanly County staple! Always great treats and wonderful people. A definite stop for us whenever we're in town. Can't wait to see what else is in store for the new location.
