This place has the BEST Mexican food in E CityThis place has the BEST Mexican food in E City! I got the taco platter and tried the shredded chicken, barbacoa, pastor and steak: all were delicious! My family and I dined for a late lunch just before Christmas. The menu is huge and there are lunch specials until 3:00. It was difficult to make a decision based on the many offerings but I finally decided on pork pastor from the lunch menu. It came with the usual rice and beans, tortillas, and lettuce and tomato with a generous dollop of guacamole. If you are looking for real deal in street tacos, the Happy Taco is your kind of place. The homemade corn tortillas were top notch. The owner is from south Texas and he has brought authentic ingredients and flavors to Elizabeth City. Service was excellent. Next time I'm in town I will make a stop here.
