Ordered the small fish plate and was pleasantly surprised with the size of the flounder that was brought to our table the piece took up most of the plate it's well worth the money.

We made the drive from Charlotte to eat here!!! It was amazing. Great food all around, amazing service. Everyone is so friendly, attentive and welcoming. I will say, if you’re in a car pulling into Jays. Go extremely slow, exaggerate the slow pull in. You’ll be fine in a truck or lifter SUV. My boyfriends car fender liner got busted out even when he went slow due to how rough it is pulling in think because It’s uneven and bumpy and makes it harsh. beware of the parking lot. But it’s worth the drive for the food and service.

Great food, great stop! Went for a family dinner. I had the broiled flounder, very tasty. My wife had salt and pepper catfish, also yummy! Excellent, friendly service at a Stanly County institution. Be advised- restaurant is cash only!

By far the friendliest staff, the nostalgia of the " old school " fish camp atmosphere brings back fond memories of simpler times, like a breath of fresh air in this rat race of a world we live in. Not once been disappointed with quality, or portion sizes of food. And then there is Sheila who just radiates a good vibe and always ensures amazing accommodation to her customers and lets not forget Mrs. Lisa who never fails to greet each customer with a smile and the most pleasant attitude. All around a wonderful restaurant.

Coming from the," Seafood Capitol" ,of the world,Crisfield,MD I expected great seafood, considering the amount of cars in the parking lot. Noooo! I ordered the flounder. It was so dry and way overcooked and the coating that they used was so hard ,couldn't even eat it. My husband ordered hamburger steak, was told that they don't have any gravy. His was overcooked as well. Couldn't even cut it with a knife. He didn't even bring it home because reheating it would make it as solid as a brick. The staff was great, atmosphere was great. The food..... absolutely horrible. Also, what restaurant only accepts cash?

We have problems with them leaving things off our order. Then they want you to come back and pick up the items they left off. No not happening. Make it right to begin with, write it down in your little book. So if it takes me 3 months to remember to pick it up so be it. Don’t refuse to give me what y’all left off and make it my problem. My husband loves the seafood I can’t usually Leave it, you better bet you sweet tail I will get what I paid for. Jays.. you have already gone to taking cash only don’t make things worse.. oh lord my husband gets there to pick up order of course they charged us for what they left off then the lady says I don’t have time to correct the bill. Yes you will make time. Done with y’all
