I love BBQ. I've never had "bad" bbq. I didn't think it was possible until I got a pulled pork sandwich from this place at the Punkin Chunkin festival today. Unfortunately they had decided it was a good idea to put huge chunks of dried out meat on top if a tiny scoop of good meat. The good meat was nice and juicy, had a nice shred to it. I ended up having to tear apart the sandwich to find the bit of good. I think they could put out a decent product if they would make the conscious decision to not serve the dried out parts.As it was, I paid $11 for about 3 spoonfuls of decent bbq. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement.

Just moved to the area from another part of the Appalachians. I was worried about finding good food in such a small area, so I was really pleasantly surprised. Fabulous food. Friendly service. The highlights...Pulled pork sandwich was awesome. The brisket had great flavor. The Mac n cheese was delicious. The only thing I didn't like was the coleslaw but that's a personal choice. I like creamy and it's vinegar slaw. I just added some mayo and it was delicious. Husband liked it as it came so really just personal choice and no fault to the chef. My husband loved the potato salad and baked beans. Definitely if your passing by, stop! You won't be disappointed.
