Exceptional Service and Great Vibes at Harvey John’s Steakhouse!

We had a wonderful dinner at Harvey John’s Steakhouse, and our server, Michelle W, truly made the night special. When we sat down, they greeted us warmly and made us feel valued guests, not just another table. It is highly recommended that you make reservations.

The owner, Mr. Harvey, is around the restaurant checking and chatting with customers.
They checked in at the perfect moments—never rushing us but always ensuring we had what we needed. The menu's variety is high-quality, on-point, and not overwhelming. The salad bar has a good variety, and the ingredients are from local farmers.

What stood out the most was the genuine friendliness and attention to detail - everything from refilling our drinks before we had to ask to making sure our dessert came out just right. It’s rare to find that kind of service these days.

We left full and happy and are already planning our next visit. If you’re heading to Harvey John’s, definitely ask for Michelle—you’ll be in great hands!

Filet was sooooo…good! Melt in your mouth! Loved the easy going low key southern hospitality and charm with the flavor of a downtown gourmet high end steaks! We will be back!

My wife and I got a rare chance for a date night and came for dinner. My NY strip was cooked perfect as was her sirloin, service was top notch and the salad bar!!! what a treat to have a loaded out salad bar. Price was reasonable, meat quality was great, I will dine here again.

Had the special as explained by our server and the hostess. We are no wine drinkers, but the offer was nice. Pasta had enough sauce and the steak was great. The mashed potatoes were devine. A little salt and the magic was there

Absolutely delicious as always! Mashed potatoes tasted a little sour but still good. Filet was amazing and Creme Brulee cheesecake was fantastic!! Amy our server was a sweetheart along with the hostess who both wished my husband and I happy birthday! Will definitely be back again! Met the owner last time and he was awesome and funny! Great place and great atmosphere as well

Finally a high-end dining experience in Angier with fair and reasonable prices!
**WE SPLURGED on extras during our meal due to two birthdays.

Dress code not mentioned on the website, but Angier is comfortable dress with some in business casual and some in jeans with a nice shirt. If you like dressing up, you would not feel uncomfortable either. At first glance, some may be hesitant of the price. But once you taste the food and experience the welcoming environment, you’ll realize it’s so worth it! The owner, manager and our wait staff treated us regular folks like royalty!

We didn’t go in the butcher shop next door, but it looks amazing too. We’ll definitely go back!

We had a wonderful meal at this steak house. Steak was tender and cooked to perfection. Great salad bar and fresh baked rolls. The steaks are freshly cut from butcher next door !!
I had a burger that was sp good and flavorful I did not put on any condiments !
We will return ! Yummy !

We visited Harvey John’s Steakhouse for the first time to celebrate a birthday and our experience was great! The food was and the staff were very kind. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and everyone greatly enjoyed the salad bar. We will definitely be back!

The staff here are super friendly! They go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied. Really good food for a fair price. We will come back! Michelle was our server and she was great! The owner came by to meet us as well.

Harvey John’s is definitely a hidden gem! This was our second visit here, and the food was delicious. Amy was incredibly pleasant and attended to our every need—we had the best service! The steak was perfectly cooked, and the walnut pesto linguine with salmon was delicately seasoned and delicious!

I can’t say enough about having a large city quality chophouse in our small town. I am happy not to have to drive to Raleigh for such haute cuisine!

We were met at the front door with enormous hospitality. Upon being seated the hospitality continued with our waitress Michele. We ordered 3 different steaks and all were cooked perfectly and delicious. The mashed potatoes is a must order. The open Salad bar was fresh and clean. Unfortunately our meals left us no room for the largely portioned deserts to try, which looked so appetizing. When leaving not only did Michele thanks us and wish us a wonderful evening but so did everyone else we walked past. A must go to spot.
