As a Salvadoran living in rural North Carolina, I was so EXCITED to find a Pupuseria. My hubby and I were going to Lillington to visit his mom and wanted to bring her lunch. She’s never had pupusas before and she loved them. They have a salsa/toppings bar. Everything was fresh and homemade.
Delicious ? everything was full of flavor. Loved the spices and heat. Only thing is you have to get your own toppings out of a buffet like station. I would like to be able to exit quickly instead of fussing with that.
I DONT RECOMMEND THEM. I went in for lunch, placed my order, paid for it and was told to wait 15 min. 3 people behind me received their food first and 1 of the customers ordered the SAME thing I order (and I was told it took a little while to cook) and that customer got his before me. when I asked why, she told me " yeah they sometimes make the food for the customers they know first" oh really? then you don't need my business . Yes, I got my money back!!
