normally great, but prime rib special for Valentine's day was the worst excuse for prime rib is have ever had. Ask for medium rare and got well done! waitress said they all were medium to well done. they actually grilled the prime rib for some reason. This is the only bad meal we have ever had.

First time here and everything was delicious! I knew it had to be a great place as the parking lot was full! Highly recommend the Bang Bang Shrimp!

It isn't often where I can say a restaurant is across the 5 out of 5 stars, but this is IT! Open Thursday through Saturday it is well worth waiting for. We started with the shrimp cocktail. The shrimp were extra large and succulent. Perfectly cooked and tender, served in a large martinis glass with a cocktail sauce and lemon wedge - nothing fancy. The focus was the shrimp; as it should be. We both had the 10oz ribeye steaks with grilled shrimp. I opted for the sweet potato and beets sides, he had the green beans and a salad with homemade Italian dressing. Both meals came with a beautiful, thick piece of warm garlic bread. Both steaks were cooked to perfection, rare and medium rare and seasoned without need to add any extra. The grilled shrimp were well seasoned and excellently grilled to a tender perfection. Madison, a second generation employee was our wait person and outstanding! Friendly, helpful and a pleasure to meet! We were also graced with Lane, the owner who was nice enough to sit with us for a moment to get to know us a bit and tell us about the restaurant's history. It was charming and added that little extra touch to the experience to push it over the edge of exceptional! Overall, I don't believe I can say enough good or positive things about our experience here. It is a relaxed yet elegantly comfortable dining experience that is well worth the weekday wait and an exceptional value for the quality and quantity. It is DEFINITELY worth the trip!

1st time here. Seated promptly no wait. Waitress appeared with in 5 minutes. I asked her about the catfish. I wanted to know if it was pond raised. She said she didn't know, she was new. So I opted for grilled shrimp, coleslaw, and baked potato. My dining friends had coleslaw, and baked potatoes and 1 had fried shrimp, the other catfish.
As others have said the hushpuppies came first. My hubby said they were good and not greasy. I did not partake, a I am gluten free.
He also ordered a bottle of wine. Only $12 when a single glass was $6.
Food was good all around. I think our waitress was a bit nervous, but she did pretty good. The owner stopped by and we told her what a great meal we had
So she told us the peach cobbler was no cost. We took them home along with some fish and fried shimp. My shrimp was gone. The three of us with a bottle of wine and 3 dinners was under $80.
More than reasonable for really good seafood. We will go again. I found out they have gas fireplaces on, in the cooler months. I was impressed by how many people were seated and eating when we got there on a Thursday at 5:30.
As soon as a table was emptied abd cleaned there were people being seated. It shows how popular this Vineyard is.
They also offer curbside take out.

To say the least, I was disappointed. I came to Lane’s because I’ve always heard good stuff from my friends and family. However, that wasn’t necessarily our experience. Whenever we got there, we were seated promptly in a nice corner at the back of the dining room and my wife and I ordered the 8 ounce chicken breast with french fries and a baked potato, and the large seafood platter with beets and a baked potato. When our food got there we could tell that a number of the items we ordered were frozen and unseasoned. The food was overall very underwhelming my 8 ounce chicken breast came as two 4 ounce chicken breasts. Nice staff and restaurant, but food was just overpriced for the quality.

We found Lane’s Seafood and Steak House tonight. Though we have lived in Harnett County for three years, we have never visited this restaurant until now. The new signs posted at the Old Fairgrounds Road/ Stephenson Road intersection and the NC 50 / Stephenson Road intersection are helpful to those who are still learning the area. The restaurant is refined but cozy, and our waitress ( Sheila) was super friendly and accommodating. The food was great. We tried the seafood ( I ordered flounder; my companion ordered fried shrimp). The bread coating on the fish and shrimp was light, crispy, and seasoned to perfection. The white slaw included a trace of pickle and pepper, which paired well with the seafood. The potatoes were served steaming hot and the butter melted instantly when applied to the soft and yielding potato. The only disappointment was the hushpuppy texture. The puppies were shaped more like strands than scoops, and the grease in which they were fried permeated the entire body of the hush puppy. The result was a dense and gooey bread. But there are so many recipes for hush puppies, and the patrons of this long standing eatery must like this one. We were content to pass on the puppies because the remainder of the meal was so good.We will return to try other options on the menu. We had a pleasant dining experience.

Nice place, good service, & good food. My only issue was the fact that they were out of at least half of the beers on the menu. No Michelob Ultra, no Coors light, and no Bud Light.

Elegant dishes served with the best service. Casual or fancy doesn't matter because of the Southern hospitality. The owner circulates and interacts with his customers.Prices are reasonable and portions are generous.Just don't grab the round bottle of red stuff to squirt on your fries. It's cocktail sauce.

We have eaten here several times and as usual they do not disappoint! In 2018 our son and DIL got married here, we’ve eaten here a couple times before that, and since then a few more times. We recently moved even closer and Lane Gregory and his staff never disappoint! The service has been impeccable! The food is fabulous! Thank you for giving us a place to enjoy such great service and great food!
