The pizza is great. But if you want pizza by the slice after work be ready to be disappointed. I've tried several times after work to no avail. Very disappointing.

I have been a loyal customer of Big Sergio Pizza in Apex, NC for many years, and I’ve always considered their products among the best in the Apex area. Unfortunately, my last visit was very disappointing and even concerning.
My wife, my son, and I arrived and placed our order. We were not informed about the waiting time, and since there was only one person waiting, we assumed it wouldn’t take long. However, it ended up taking around 40 minutes. After about 30 minutes, my wife asked about our order and was told it would be ready soon. A few minutes later, I went to check again, and one of the employees told me the pizzas were still in the oven and that I needed to wait.
At that moment, another employee — apparently the cook or pizza maker — reacted in a very rude and aggressive way. He started yelling things like “You have to wait,” “We’re not machines,” and even insulted me, saying “Go to hell.” His behavior was completely unacceptable and threatening, especially in front of my family.
We decided to leave the restaurant immediately. I’m sharing this experience not to discredit the food — which is excellent — but to warn others. If you plan to dine in or are in a hurry, please be aware that one of their employees has serious behavior issues, and the atmosphere might not be safe or respectful for families.

Ordered steak mushroom onion stromboli cause my teenager don't like ricotta on calzone, also ordered turkey sub- turkey sub burnt n roll was like croutons so hard and we didn't ask for it toasted, and got home to Lillington- cut into stromboli only to find it burnt black on bottom n with inside not cooked n doughy n not cooked hard onions also it had ricotta in it, so couldnt eat either one. Usually very good place to get takeout, hopefully whoever working grill learns not burn everything..pics attached.

Super cool, no nonsense pizza joint. Pizza good, steak and cheese sub good. Staff friendly and efficient. Did I mention the prices? They are great value for money. Also, very affordable daily specials. Pizza slices available ala cart. Definitely a must try. Will be going back very soon. Don't sleep on this gem.
