I happened across Bonafide a few years ago and even since moving out of the area, it is still my go to for gluten free goodies. They make custom order cakes and the pumpkin scones changed my life !!

Great place for any vegans, vegetarians or anyone trying to avoid dairy. Baked goods and sandwiches are incredible. As someone who eats meat, the buffalo tofu sandwich is so good that it almost makes you believe you could pull off being vegetarian.

Let me start this off by saying I discovered this place 3 days ago and I’ve already been here 4 times. I’m OBSESSED. Reasonable prices, delicious food and very friendly staff. They have great options for soup, sandwiches, pastries, salads and drinks. They have creative and delicious options. Everything I’ve tried is a 10/10!!! I’ve had their roasted pumpkin maple pecan oatmeal, buffalo tofu sandwich, vegan quiche, their chocolate pie, Oreo cheesecake cup and the Mediterranean eggplant sandwich.

Needed dairy-free options for a brunch and Bonafide was so helpful in selecting what to order. Dairy-free Quiche Lorraine and dairy-free spinach, tomato, and feta quiche were delicious! We also ordered a dairy-free lemon cake with a blueberry filling which was scrumptious! We will definitely be ordering from them again!

I love this place so much. Pretty much everything you get is awesome. They also did catering for me for a party. They made amazing mini pastries at a very reasonable price. Just know you may have to follow up a few times in person or over the phone since they don’t always respond right away via email.
Amazing vegan options! The southwest tempeh sandwich is very good highly recommend it. Always have great vegan desert options too.

I have been coming to this little restaurant for a number of years now. The vegan menu items are clearly identified and the staff will share the ingredients with you, if asked, as well as their experience with the taste profile (which, of course, is personal, but a starting point, if curious). They have a menu of staples and a rotating menu. Coffee and tea selection are decent and they have non-dairy options for milk. Honestly, this is one of my favorite vegan spots around Cary. It’s not “veganized fast food” (like vegan hamburgers and French fries-style restaurants), but more a good little local soup, sandwich and salad spot with good vegan options. And I must add, the staff and owner have always been attentive and helpful!
