✅ ok
I was starving and saw Indian food, so I had to check this place out. I was NOT disappointed. Saw Chicken Tikka Pizza on the menu, and it was a lock. The pizza came out hot and tasty with a little bit of spice. Do yourself a favor and let it cool a little so the toppings dont just fall off lol! Definitely on the return list for me.

Good food. One of my to go place for Chai, Snacks (samosas, punugulu). Their vankay (egg plant) puloa and biryani are tasty too.

Tried the punugulu, chai, and guthi vankaya pulao at Indian Canteen. The punugulu and pulao were really amazing. Chai was okay. They also have a carrom board, which was fun!

I happened to visit Indian Canteen in Apex, NC a couple of days ago. Not sure if the management has changed recently, but this place used to be much better.
During my visit, the first thing that shocked me was seeing single-use plastic spoons being washed and reused. They were placed in tubs as if they were meant for multiple uses even though the condition looks bad — definitely not hygienic.
Next, I ordered a chicken tikka sandwich, but they served me one without chicken. When I pointed it out, they offered to make another one, but even the replacement was quite bad. The quality and care just don’t seem to be there anymore.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Parents visited this place and were unimpressed. Every single item on the menu is overpriced. For the type of service they provide (order at the front, pick up food, paper plates) they charge too much.
$15.99 for parotta and goat paya and they gave literally 1 parotta. Whose hunger will that curb? Maybe an 8 year old. Food was good in flavor apparently but extremely expensive, for the price you could go to a traditional restaurant and get the full experience. No tiffin items either don’t know why.

If we could give less than 1 star, we would. As a first time customer, we had such a disappointing experience. Not only was the food low quality and not fresh at all, but when we gave feedback and asked to cancel/ refund our order, we were treated very rudely by the chef and received neither by the end. We will not be returning and do not recommend to anyone.

The food was great when we visited earlier. That was why I again wanted to go there and taste pongal. But somehow this time, the pongal was salty, and there was a strand of hair in ginger chutney as well. We were disappointed.

Absolutely terrible, don’t waste your money! The food was clearly spoiled and made me sick, and the tea was completely flavorless. The staff were rude and unprofessional. Avoid this place at all costs.
