Dead flies in the window. Bathroons need attention. Air vents need to be cleaned. No napkins. Tea was meh. They can do so much better.

I recently visited the McAlister’s Deli in Apex and had an experience that left me uncomfortable and disappointed. After receiving my drink, I walked toward the left side of the seating area. A staff member behind the counter immediately asked me to sit on the right side instead. I didn’t think much of it at first—maybe the area had just been cleaned or was reserved.
However, shortly after I sat down, I noticed an African American man seated a couple of tables away on the right side. Within minutes, two Caucasian men came in, ordered, and sat on the left side—no one said anything to them. Then a Caucasian couple came in and did the same—again, no comment from staff.
This pattern felt too clear to ignore. Being asked to sit on one side while white customers freely sat on the other, without question, strongly suggests biased treatment. Whether intentional or not, it comes across as racial profiling and it is deeply disappointing in 2025 that these kinds of experiences are still happening in public spaces.
I hope McAlister’s management takes this seriously and provides proper training to ensure all customers are treated with equal respect and dignity.

ABSOLUTELY disgusting…. got this in my ceaser salad. would love to know what it is.
I walked in yesterday 6/21 to only order a carrot cake. As I stood at the counter for about 10 minutes, a worker passed by me 3 times with no acknowledgement of me standing there. No, “We will be with you in a few minutes”. No nothing. There was another woman who walked up to get her beverage refilled and she did not get any assistance either. I was actually traveling from another city and on my way back home. I just walked out due to poor customer service.

If your goal is to wait 45 minutes to an hour for a to-go order this place is the spot.

Came to Apex location for lunch, got half Italian sandwich with cup of potato soup. Not many here but I waited on food for 18 minutes! My sandwich hardly had any ingredients on it and smaller than what I had gotten in the past! My soup was more like water with maybe 3 tiny potatoes. It angers me to pay $16.56 for lunch, and to get this was very disappointing! I will think twice before ever coming here again!!

Food has recently been hit or miss. This time, we ordered delivery and the baked potato and nachos pick 2 was my first meal of the day. I was sick on the stomach within 10 minutes.

McAllister’s used to be one of my favorite places to eat, but I’ve been to this one several times and it does not do it for me anymore. The sandwiches are extremely small and the ingredients clearly aren’t quality. The soup was old and grainy. For the price, you’re not going to get anything worth having here.
Only giving this 2 stars because the food was good.
Waited 45 min for a mobile order. It was dead in there….kinda like the apparent souls of the workers. Never seen so many miserable people working.
Lots of dirty tables.
I had to go check on our order several times.
This establishment had a sign up that says teachers and nurses can get a tea for free for Teacher and Nurse appreciation week. I asked could I? and even showed my faculty id only to be told no because it ended one day before. It's literally showing appreciation for teachers and you couldn't spare an ice tea?? That's not customer service especially since it wasn't my fault the sign was still up. To me it's unnecessarily rude. To me the better approach would be for lil miss Becky to ask a manager if it was possible so it appeared like she tried vs just shutting down a simple request. The staff in the kitchen was no better and I with sloppily trying to rectify the issue with my food being out all on one plate. Then still forgot the cheese sauce. Who eats dry nachos???
IF I CHOOSE TO REVISIT THIS LOCATION, which I highly doubt, I will always walk out if lil miss Becky is behind the counter. She was rude. Mispronounced my name. And rolled her eyes multiple times.
