Great food. Excellent service. A little pricey, but probably worth it.
Bar service fine. Kitchen speed, poor. French fries oversalted. Burger good. C is a fair grade
Visited on very busy Saturday night in May to celebrate sons graduation. Drinks, apps and ambience was great. However, service and entrees left much to be desired. We received entrees and salads/soups at different times, several were forgotten or incorrect, and three entrees (all stuffed flounder) were inedible due to way too much salt. Entire meal was 3 hours and entire party was starving and irritable by the time we were served entrees. GM was friendly, but , handled very poorly. Promised meals and wine were not comp'd and had to send bill back for correction. In the end, i was very dissapointed and wished we had gone elsewhere.
Several meals were very salty, one meal was wrong and had to be sent back. They did their best to accommodate but were a bit overwhelmed with our large party. Overall the evening went okay due to the private room we had but our dinner ended up taking three hours.
The food is very mediocre. The hostess was rude and showed she was so over her job today. $15 for a standard burger with generic BBQ sauce on it?! Food is way over priced and took around an hour to get it in a nowhere near capacity environment. Halfway through our wait two elderly ladies seated next to us walked out after waiting 30 minutes to be approached by the waiting staff. Lastly, they've brought me water on a very hot day in what looks to be a cocktail glass. So, save yourself at least two hours of your time and go to a different restaurant!
Truly a magnificent place to go to eat and have a relaxing evening. You can dine either inside or out in a building that built in 1904 and completely restored. The craftmanship shows from the original wood floor all the way up to the original metal stamped ceiling tiles and it is impressive. The menu has a wide variety of choices with starters, soup & salad, entrees and of course desserts with a full bar. From the start section what caught my eyes were the bacon wrapped scallops with a maple syrup glaze and they were to die for. Cooked to perfection and succulent with a hint of maple syrup. For dinner I chose the NY strip with a simple salad and horse radish mash potato. The steak was cooked perfectly and the bearnaise sauce was and added touch. The mash potatoes with horse radish were very and a first, definitely a way to spice up plain old mash potatoes. The bar is well stock especially in single malt scotches. My friend had a true southern dish of shrimp and grits with country ham. There wait staff is spot on along with the hostess. It was night of good food, drink and fun. I will definitely be back.
Fantastic food. Very good service. My husband and I enjoy coming here for date nights. The atmosphere is really nice.
Excellent food! And a great drink menu. The servers are all very friendly and welcoming. If you're in the Apex area definitely stop in for lunch or dinner.
Entree was delicious. Took an hour to have it in front of me. Ordered appetizer at the same time as the meal. The appetizer didn't come out until after our plates were cleared away from the table. Drinks were not refilled. Expected a better experience.
Visited on " Couple's Tuesday" special night. They had 90 reservations this evening, but they were well staffed and we had reservations, so no waiting. The special selections were fine, but obviously not the top of their menu. Our server was attentive but our appetizer was delayed. The server said they had "missed" the listed appetizer on the order and we requested that this not disturb the normal order of course service. He said he would be sure to bring courses out in a correct order. Unfortunately, this resulted in the main course being too cold and dried, probably by heat lamps.

We have been here plenty of times for brunch and each time the service and food was amazing. The brunch menu is a little limited but the 5 or 6 dishes we have gotten, out of a total of maybe 12-14 were all fantastic. We stopped in this past weekend at night for a few drinks and our server was extremely friendly and attentive. Great job!
Terrific atmosphere. Beautiful interior without feeling Stuffy. The food was terrific and so was the service. Great place for a casual breakfast or lunch or a dressy evening out. Service is friendly and warm and attentive without being overbearing. Intimate but friendly.
Great food and the staff is wonderful. I also want to commend the front of the house staff; for us they were so helpful. Brunch is great, but make sure you get there with at least 2 hours left. We went with 1 hour left and the food looked picked over, they were out of some desserts and there was a wait for replenished servings on the buffet. But the food was excellent.
3 out of four meals excellent, mine not so good. Ordered the rib eye special but asked for mashed potato. Got no potato and steak was mostly gristle and fat. Ambience was great and will go back, but will never order a special there again.
This is a review on service alone. After waiting 45 minutes to get a table (not that long for downtown Apex on a Saturday) we were seated. Shortly after our drink order was taken and everything seemed to be going well. After our drinks were delivered sloshing out of their glasses we were told by our waitress she would be right back. About twenty minutes later she swung by out table to tell us once again she'd be right back. This is when the table next to us who have been waiting for their check the whole time commented on her being a tad slow. About 10 minutes later she brought out a plastic container to box up their leftovers. Not a bad practice at Applebees, but somewhere that charges a min of $20 a plate. Maybe you take that into the back rather than taking the chance of spilling this on the customer. At this point we had been sitting 30 min waiting to put in some kind of food order. We decided to bolt and go somewhere else. Taking an appetizer order with the drinks or something would have gone a long way. The food the other tables were eating looked good, but we will never know.
