Went for the first time Friday, 19Jul2024. Got the 2-Combo (flounder & shrimp). Flounder was excellent. Two large pieces, well breaded and seasoned. The shrimp were a surprise. I was expecting popcorn shrimp but these were really large jumbos. I was also expecting standard NC coastal fried shrimp but these were spicer(?) more Louisiana style. Very tasty but FYI for people who may go expecting popcorn shrimp. Lots of food for the price.
Service was very friendly. a little slow as the lady working the register was being very deliberate so as not to make any errors but we weren't in a rush.
The only negative I have is that the floor were sticky. really sticky. Not sure why b/c the restaurant looked relatively "new" and everything was clean.
Anyway, great value, great food, very, very tasty, good service. Definitely worth a second visit and 100% worth a first visit if you've never been.

The definition of #1’s. I’m new to North Carolina and have been craving blue claw crabs since getting here. I’m so glad I found The Fish House Market! I was impressed by the size/heaviness of the crabs and thoroughly enjoyed them. Though we had a bit of a miscommunication with my order, the “Fishman” quickly provided a resolution and everything worked out! I’ll definitely be back for more. If you’re in the RTP area, check him out!

This is the real thing! My husband and I stopped in for the first time today and bought a big piece of grouper from Chris, who was so nice and personable. I know fresh vs. not so fresh, and this was wonderful. I pan fried it and made fresh grouper samiches on buns, all the way with cold slaw for my family. My 17 year old raved. It couldn't have been better if we had caught it ourselves. Chris, thank you for the local stories and great to meet you! We LOVE supporting local, excellent businesses like yours! See you soon!

The Fish House is the best and it crosses so many boxes for me. Everyone who has assisted me with my purchases has been kind. I've seen several High School age young people employed there. So they are teaching the next generation of young people! The suggestions they've given me when my favorite fish was sold out have been good. The fish is always fresh. And the cherry on the top is they are owned and operated by young African American men! So yeah I drive 35 miles to purchase fish from them!
