This used to be a great place but it has super gone downhill in the past year or two. They literally only ever have teenagers working there who always seem completely lost, and it takes them forever to even just pour you a coffee. Whether you walk in or go through the drive-through bare minimum you’re going to spend 15 minutes there even if you just ordered a drip coffee. They are also out of at least three things no matter what you try to order. Like literally did not have half-and-half just now. I wanted an iced coffee, which they didn’t have. On an 80° day. So I ordered an iced Americano. I got a large cup of ice water with one shot of espresso, it was barely even brown. Absolutely disgusting. Something really needs to be done, the place is awful now.

One of the worst coffee shops in the triangle. Horrible coffee and poor customer service. So glad the other location on Kelly road is turning into a Haraz Yemeni coffee house. I wish this location does the same.

not good taste bad, idk what they make coffee with but it didn't taste like coffee, they need better staff and staff that isn't lazy. I heard Haraz coffee is going in that location, so might be better once we get a new business there

Someone please train staff.
Lost and found overflowing was the first thing I saw when I entered…it’s on the retail shelves next to the register??
Ordered an iced Americano. I was handed a watered down drink with three pieces of ice floating on top.
I ordered a cookie I was never given, and when I asked about it, I had to stand in line because he forgot to charge me. I ended up leaving instead.
It’s too bad as I went in curious about the business venture opportunity. Rough experience.

I've been coming here for a few years to get my morning coffee and in the past few months this place has gone significantly downhill to the point where I'm going to give up and find someplace else. The coffee is still ok but the service is unacceptable. Orders are constantly wrong, I have to wait several minutes before even being acknowledged, coffee is spilled when it's handed to me, and overall it's taken 8-10 minutes to get a simple black drip coffee when it wasn't even busy.

Coffee quality has dropped a lot. Service is slow and looks like too few employees work there. Sad what has happened to this chain.

DONT BE FOOLED BY HIGH STAR RATING. This place used to be good but is utterly horrible now. Spent $8+ on a latte with an extra shot of espresso and it came with just TWO shots of weak, barely detectable espresso drowned in about 20 oz of whole milk (I asked for 2%). Any other half-decent coffee shop would give you three or even four shots when ordering an extra in that size drink. Woman next to me couldn’t even eat her pastry, saying it was “so stale.” Maybe if you like overly sweet, coffee-adjacent drinks this place is for you. But if you *actually* like coffee, steer clear.

I ordered a cold brew and it was so acidic it was disgusting, I even tried putting more cream and sugar into it when I got home but there was no saving it, completely undrinkable. I have never had a cold brew be so acidic like that, even when I’ve done it myself at home and in this case I wish I would’ve saved myself the money and just done that.

I can’t speak to any of their espresso drinks, but I would steer clear of the cold brew and probably the drip coffee too. They need to check whatever beans or machines they’re using that’s causing this.

Also their service is pretty slow even when I was the only one in the drive through line (which is also very oddly shaped/located). I asked for almond milk in my drink and they didn’t do that but still charged me for it.

There are so many other coffee shops around just go somewhere else. I will not be returning.

Ordered a latte. The espresso had a weak taste to it, not the best. Also, the store was cold, so if you wanted to sit down and drink your coffee, you wouldn't be very comfortable.

My friend and I stopped in for a coffee. The drive through was pretty busy and the two kids behind the counter seemed to be prioritizing the drive thru. They didn’t acknowledge us for several minutes. I had to change my order 3 times as they didn’t have chai tea, soy milk or the seasonal syrup.
They continued to prioritize new drive up customers and ignoring the people in the lobby.
I had to ask when my order would be ready and waited another 5 or so minutes. In total was there almost 20 minutes and when I got my drink it was lukewarm and didn’t taste good at all. I threw it away.
Clearly not being managed well, with poor customer service and lack of supplies needed for a busy Saturday morning.

I’ve been a regular at wake zone since it opened years ago and it was gone downhill significantly since new owners took over. High school students run the coffee shop and have very poor training. Unsure of what flavors they have, unsure how or if they still honor rewards points, unsure how to make basic drinks, etc. very disappointed my favorite local coffee shop have barely drinkable coffee and stale baked goods after years of wonderful experiences.

The owners need to step in if they care about the future of this once great franchise. I've lived in Apex for 9 years, and I've given both branches of Wake Oasis my business nearly every other day, back since when they were called Wake Zone and they ran things better.

What's failing:

(1) Quality - I've lost track of how many times I've received a latte with no flavor, even after requesting extra pumps of syrup, or receiving something that I didn't order. It's happening half of the time for two or three years now. Even the quality of the cups went down for a year or two, with lids that didn't stay shut tight.

(2) Logistics - It's not uncommon for a single car in the drive-through to take 15 minutes to receive their order, holding up everyone in a line they can't escape. People get coffee in drive-throughs when they're on their way to someplace else. Wake Oasis is making people late. Please take a lesson from experienced franchises like Chick-fil-a or McDonald's, and have those customers pull around to the parking lot to allow others to get by.

(3) Management - Where are they? Both branches are run by high school kids or college freshman, as far as I've ever seen inside the buildings. They deserve to be trained better. One time a branch was closed because the key to the door was lost. How does that happen? And please don't take this review out on the service workers in the form of disciplinary action. They're kids. I even recognize some of them when they worked at other restaurants in Apex. I'd like to see management step up to make these kids better. It will fix the quality and logistics of this business, while giving the kids the opportunity they deserve to learn and grow. This is a community business.

It's sad to see my favorite coffee shop failing. The only reason I come here anymore is because of its convenient location when I really need a caffeinated sugar fix, or when my kids ask for something, when we're en route to somewhere else. More often now, I'm just making black Folgers at home, because I'm done spending hundreds of dollars per year hoping that this place turns around again.
